“See Me: A Jeannie Johal Thriller” written by the author Susann Camus is a must read. The main character of the story is Jeannie Johal. The hospital in which she works as a plastic surgeon was blown up. She saw it as a perfect opportunity to escape her abusive husband in Mumbai and started a new life in Canada.

In Vancouver, she got the role of quality improvement consultant at From Sea to Mountain Health Authority. Her boss Kathleen introduced her to her colleagues. One of the surgeons, Peter Peterson was having an affair with a surgical nurse Cammy. The morning Peter’s wife found out about his affair, he was murdered. Read this story to know who is behind Peter’s murder. What will Jeannie discover at a new workplace?

The story is intriguing. The cover photo of the book is nice. The writing style of the author is easy to follow. I had a great time reading this book. The dialogs are written nicely and the storyline is easy to follow. Those who enjoy thrillers should definitely get their hands on this book.

“Path Unguided: Grieving Your Father’s Death” written by the author Bald Solomon is a book worth reading. The main character of the story is Delilah Boaz. Her father’s company Alexandria Meat was in the middle of a dispute between management and workers. Delilah’s father is more concerned about making more money and Delilah wants better working conditions for workers. Delilah is the head of quality control at Alexandria Meat. During an argument with her father, her father suggested she leave Alexandria Meat.

In another heated argument, he asked her to go ahead and leave the house if she wanted that. The relationship between Delilah and her father has become worse. On the other hand, Delilah got information from someone that Jose’s father hasn’t died accidentally. She was informed that somebody tampered with a scaffold from which he fell.

This is a relatable story in which we could relate with the arguments we often have with parents or the grief of losing a loved one. I loved the supporting characters in Delilah’s life. Read this story to know will Delilah and her father’s relationship be fixed. The writing style of the author is nice. This is a kinda book which you can’t put down once you start reading it. The cover photo is nice with a title that is apt for the book. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.

Behind Closed Doors, penned by the authors: Sarah R. Batchelder and Kerry L. Batchelder, is a captivating story that hooked me until the last page. It begins with Kelly receiving an invitation to a silent gun auction. She did not need a gun. However, curiosity took her to the auction. When she returned home, she received a parcel with a gun in it. The weapon fits perfectly in her hand.

Soon, Kelly was threatened. She had to confess a murder she didn’t commit, or her life would be in danger. To frighten her, her friend, Anthony, was murdered. Kelly could not trust anyone, as she questioned whether or not to share the details with Detective William Grey.

This story has so many turns and twists that it will keep the reader hooked until the last page. The book cover photo is nice and the title suits the storyline. The backdrop setting is done nicely by the author. The storyline is gripping, and I could not put this book aside until I finished reading it. The characters are written well by the authors.

Those who enjoy reading suspense thrillers should definitely get their hands on this book.

“Behold I Stand At The Door and Knock: With God all things are possible” written by the author Kerry L. Batchelder is a poetry book. This book is the first installment in the ‘Be Still’ book series. In this book, the author has shared her private thoughts and spiritual beliefs.

Some of my favorite poems from the collection are: God is Good, I Belong to You, The Pain of Letting Go, Trust Him, etc.

When fear grips us, threatening our self-reliance and our ability to protect ourselves…
Simply trust Him.
When loneliness weighs us down and those we love are far away…
Simply trust Him.
As we seek the love and power of God himself…
Simply trust Him.

I am facing a very challenging time in my personal life and this poem helped me to redirect my way to God and trust him. When we are stressed, we lose our way to God. This poetry collection is a must read. It will renew your faith and would help you to find your way back to God.

The poems are easy to follow. The narration is smooth and strong. The language used in the book is simple. I enjoyed every bit of this book. Looking forward to reading more poetry books by the author.

“Here, Where Death Delights: A Literary Memoir” written by the author Mary Irene Jumbelic is a must read. This is the story of Mary Jumbelic. When she was thirteen-years-old, her father died of lung cancer while in surgery. After losing her father, Mary was left alone with her mother. She is the only child of her parents and was born twelve years after her parents’ marriage.

Mary worked different small jobs that paid little while growing up. Meanwhile, she held on to her dream to become a doctor. Once she realized that she could learn more about the human body by seeing it in the flesh, she started working in the morgue. It wasn’t easy to see the bodies of little ones. In 1987, the Deputy Chief at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, told her to use as many senses as possible during an autopsy. By looking at the different bodies and especially the one that involved the heart, Mary was reminded of her own father’s death.

When Mary was pregnant with her first child, she learned about the parts of her mother’s life which she wasn’t aware of earlier. Read this book to learn more about her journey.

Mary has professionally devoted her life to death. I have learned a lot about death from this memoir. The writing style of the author is nice. The title of the book is suitable and the cover photo is nice. Those who are in the medical field would find this book more intriguing.

Those who enjoy reading memoirs should definitely get their hands on this book. I am glad to read it. The years of experience of the author in the field of studying death was reflected well in this book.

“Britannia Rises: ruling the waves was just the beginning” written by the author Russell Dumper is the first book in The Britannia Series Book Series. King Alfred’s mother was unwell for a long time and she died leaving things in the hands of King Alfred. He held a meeting at Buckingham Palace. Even though the custom allows only heirs to be present, King Alfred asked Leo and Chris to be there in the meetings.

Alfred’s mother made the British Empire the most stable and prosperous coalition in the world. However, Leo wants to stay prepared in case the enemies try to take what’s theirs. Leo is a prince with many opinions. Leo has big plans and thinks about the future. According to him, the King only thinks about what’s best in the short term.

Jamie Bayston is the student of Professor Ulinov. She asked him to give feedback on her teaching. She was accused of being a spy by some students. When Jamie visited her house to leave the notes, she saw Ulinov being murdered. He told Ed MacLoughlin that it was an imperial assassin who was the murderer of Ulinov.

This is a must read book. The writing style of the author is nice. I appreciate the knowledge of the author in writing this debut fiction. The narration is smooth and strong. As a debut author, Russell has done fantastic work in this book. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.

“Utopia Falling: A Darkness Rises” written by the author R.C. Vielee is the first book in the Utopia Falling Saga. The main character of the story is Reyne Brenton. He is eager to begin his new life with Mithany and was looking forward to his wedding. For the past year, he has been living with his fraternal twin brother Daedyn and his future wife Mithany.

There is another world Evidar. It’s a world forever in darkness. Mister Lesni was given the task by Devil’s Blacksmith to kill Reyne as he has the potential to change the trajectory of the two timelines. Blacksmith has given the responsibility to Mister Lesni as he knows that Lesni prepared and assisted Dylla and her team in getting to that other version of Earth.

Reyne is missing. His brother is looking for the doctor and Reyne as he needs medical assistance. Read this story to know will Reyne be able to marry Mithany.

The writing style of the author is nice. The story plot kept me on the edge of my seat. The language used in the book is lucid. The cover photo is well designed. I am glad to get my hands on this book. Go ahead without any second thoughts.

“Any Reason to Smile Will Do” is a great poetry book written by the author Caroline Sands.

‘When it comes to Depression’ is a poem that is relatable. It’s a story of a young girl whose dreams were crushed by the plows. This poem makes us realize that by staying stuck in our yesterday, we are destroying our today.

‘Father’s Day Parade’ is a beautiful poem that reminds the readers to be grateful to their fathers for everything they have done for them in their life. Fathers help us, support us, understand our problems, celebrate our success, etc.

As we look back over time
We find ourselves wondering …..
Did we remember to thank you enough
For all you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us …..
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems

The above lines are from Father’s Day Parade. This is a beautiful read. The poems would remind the readers to be grateful, not stay in depression, etc. The title of the book is suitable and perfect according to the contents of the book. I read this poetry book in three sittings and enjoyed it fully. The author should keep on writing more books.

“Lovely Life in Rhymes” written by the author Caroline Sands is an interesting collection of poems based on topics like Karma Smiles, Words Mean Nothing, Dreams, etc.

“Words Mean Nothing” makes the readers ponder if one person or community is suffering, how strong are we as a divided planet. It makes us think that if we self-divide ourselves, we would be able to protect ourselves from external forces.

“Peace in the Morning” makes us realize that many times we are the cause of our own pain. This poem gives the readers advice to appreciate others. It tells us to not spread our negative energy to others.

The writing style of the author is enjoyable. I could connect well to the emotions behind these poems. The language used is lucid and easy to follow. One could read a couple of poems in a single sitting. Poetry fans should definitely read this book.

Thunder Peak written by the author Trae Stratton is the first book in the Tamm Chronicle book series. The story features Casey and her adoptive father Jonas. Casey was an infant when her parents died and she only knows that Jonas is her father. Casey and Jonas live in Thunder Peak.

Tamm Ranch and Orchards is a profitable part of the Thunder Peak legend. By selling fresh apples to others, Jonas earns profit and has been able to raise Casey. Once when Jonas was called by the Sheriff Tanner, back at home, Casey felt about a horse in front of her house who was injured and needed to be saved. Casey brought the horse inside the ranch. On the other hand, Jonas was worried that he had to tell the truth to Casey and what she would think when she found out.

The plot of the story is gripping. The writing style of the author is amazing. The language used in the book is lucid and I had a great time reading this book. The cover photo is nice. Those who enjoy fantasy adventure stories should definitely get their hands on this book. I had a great time reading this book and I like to recommend it to my fellow readers.
