Roseneath is a horror novel written by the author Dana McSwain. The protagonist of the story is Georgia. She lives in an old home with her husband Nathan Pritchard. He is a workaholic with long working shifts most of the time.

As the story progresses, we see Georgia finding solace in a little dead girl named Edith whose body was hidden in the attic. She was called Edie by her dad. Georgia secretly go down the staircase of Roseneath to play with her or to read to her.

With the beast, the monster in the basement, the horror increases. The story is intriguing and I couldn’t put the book down. I binge read it. It felt like I was watching a horror movie.

The cover page of the book showing the front gate of the haunted house Roseneath is something that I like. After reading this book, I won’t be able to go to basement alone especially at night.

A Gallery Of Mothers is the sequel of “The Threat Below”. It is the Book 2 in Brathius History and is a Young Adult fantasy fiction penned down by the author JS Latshaw. The story is about a girl Icelyn Brathius. She is a Gallery of Mothers. Icelyn has the responsibility to save the Mountaintop people by fighting the evil.

We see great development in the character of Icelyn in this part. She took the hard decision to let go of her love because she has to fight the evil and save everyone. This is the second book that I have read from the author and the world building is really amazing. Read this exciting story to know how Icelyn come forward to save the Mountaintop people from a new cataclysm. The story is gripping but lengthy as well. I am looking forward to read next book from the author. Much recommended to those who love to read books of young adult fantasy fiction genre.

The Odd one and other short stories by author Sohini Maitra is definitely a must read and is for people of all ages. I have finished reading it and have to say author have done commendable job in writing it down so beautifully.

Stories are hilarious but at the same time it talks about the reality which we all experience around in our life on daily basis. It takes you to a journey where you will find yourself as you are a part of it.

These incredible short stories will win your heart as the author have penned down so many interesting topics that covers almost everything in our day to day life.

You will feel confidence and motivated as the stories are so good that it will put a big smile on your face, it will change the way you see the world. The characters are so good that willl keep you engaged all the time.

Overall a book which is Priceless and one can easily relate while reading. So, give it a try and you will going to love this book. I am really impressed.

My C-Popstar is a romance fiction by the author Christine Clinton. The protagonist of the story are Vannes Lee and Aimee. Vannes is a Chinese Popstar who reached the top of music charts through his hard work. One day he saw Aimee, a red haired bartender. Although she wasn’t that glamorous but still she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen.

They met in a bar where Vannes had so many drinks but unfortunately he forgot his wallet. Aimee told him not to worry, the bill will be on the house. Even though she knew that Vannes is a big popstar but still she was not throwing herself at him. Their chemistry is what makes the story intriguing.

The characters are strong and the book is unputdownable. You can’t put it down until you finish the whole story. With eleven chapters in total, it is a short read and I enjoyed reading it. The writing is so fresh and so is the plot. The cover page of the book is nice and the title is short and apt. I recommend this to romance fiction lovers.

My C-Popstar

I like reading books of post-apocalyptic genre. This is the first book of the author Ian O’Hara. The story revolves around mainly 3 characters. Rebecca Masters is a strong female character walking and walking in search of food and water. There were two others with her. Jerome Tucker and Caleb Redrickson. Jerome Tucker has joined the squad only few months back. His stupidest jokes always makes Caleb laugh or shake his head in bewilderment.

Their journey to search things for their survival is full of adventures. Rebecca’s dream was too matured one for a guy Kyle having good looks. The storyline is quite different and so it caught my attention.

The title and the cover page of the book is apt. Survival in 2157 is not easy and our protagonists know that by now. Like them there were others also in search of food and water. But Caleb has only seen Rebecca and Jerome.

This story made me wonder how we will survive in future if resources will exhaust. The thought itself is quite scary. Isn’t it? The action packed story is something you shouldn’t miss to read.

Strangers With Known Faces is a tale of five friends. The story starts with the murder of Shanaya Mishra in 2030 and the suspects were her friends Rajat, Amol, Sadda and Meenakshi. They were investigated and asked about Shanaya and the time they spent with her during college days.

Since CBI couldn’t find any solid proof against the four friends, it can’t do anything. Rajat and Meenakshi on the other hand, started doing investigation on their own. When Rajat’s name was highlighted in news for land deals, all evidences pointed to him making him the culprit. Is Rajat really behind the murder of Shanaya?

Grab a copy of this book to know all the mystery behind Shanaya’s death. The story is intriguing with so many twists and turns. You wouldn’t want to put it down until you finish it. Book needs to be formatted properly. I suggest this to beginners who love reading murder mystery.

I love reading Science Fantasy that involves time travel. Stuck (In Time) is a mix of Sci-fi and history. The protagonist of the story are three kids: James, Robert and Lucy. During their Easter holiday, they went to their Uncle Archie in Cambridge.

One night James found that he is invincible. He told his brother Robert about it but Robert pushed him away thinking that James must be playing a prank on him. In the morning, James told his siblings that he is not kidding and he is seriously invisible.

Kids thought that they will tell about this only to Uncle Archie. They went to his secret office in search of him but to their surprise they saw a time machine. They cracked key codes and found that Uncle Archie has travelled to the past in 1940s and stuck there now. Will the siblings be able to save their Uncle Archie and their brother?

This is the first book in the Stuck Series. With an intriguing story, I can’t put the book down until I finish it. There are so many mysteries to be solved and this would be a perfect pick by children and YA for an enjoyable read. I recommend this book to Sci-fi lovers.

The Threat Below is a YA fantasy novel by the author J.S. Latshaw. The protagonist of the story is Icelyn Brathius, daughter of the head of the Mountain Top. Her relationship with her childhood bestie Adorane Hailgard was much more than just friendship. One day, they both went beyond the wall but whatever they witnessed there, made them to run back to the mountaintop.

Things started to turn upside down when the people of Mountaintop found the water contaminated. What they will do now to survive? The way storyline is built up is highly impressive. The twists and turns in the story made it more interesting. It was a long read so I finished it in multiple sittings but it is definitely worth my time.

Highly recommended for apocalyptic dystopian fans. The title of the book is apt and is well related to the story. Gonna pick the next book “A Gallery Of Mothers”.

The Threat Below (Brathius Legacy Series Book 1)

Traveller Inceptio is a mind blowing time travel novel that revolves around the concept of accidental discovery of a time machine i.e. Transporter. Upon its discovery, travellers were given the needed training to go 1000 years back in time to Saxon England. The way travellers discovered that they need more than technology to survive the trials of early 11th-century life was gripping.

Traveller Inceptio is different as compared to other normal time travel reads. The twists and turns will hook you to the story more. It is not only just about time travelling but it has history added to it.

The plot and the story moving back and forth made it interesting. The character development is strong. Phil and Yeti played a great role especially about their involvement with the time machine. The last few pages are really interesting. Pace of the novel was fast enough to hook the readers.. Overall it was an interesting read that one should pick up surely.

Forever Eve by the author JB Lexington is a romance novel. The main character of the story is Izabel. Her dreams for marriage are quite similar to dreams of any other girl. She married her boyfriend Bo but her marriage didn’t turned out to be a happy one. The therapy sessions helped her a lot. Read the story to know how Izabel deal with her bad marriage. 

Izabel’s character is my favorite. Her friend Natalie Spencer’s character is also amazing. Their true friendship reminded me of my best friend. The story is intriguing and I couldn’t put this book down without finishing it. A bad marriage is definitely much stressful.

It was a short and quick read. I enjoyed reading it but some sections when Izabel was being abused were heart breaking for me. This is a great debut work by the author and I recommend this to my fellow readers.
