Make It Sweet is the second book that I have read written by the author Marisa Scolamiero. It is book 2 in the Hearts Are Wild series. The protagonist of the story are Tess Carmichael and Danny Moreau. Tess had a history of liking guys who were selfish assholes. She had make bakery as her focus so her mind is not diverted towards relationships.

Tess had a best friend Charlie. Charlie’s brother Danny Moreau always had his eyes on Tess. Tess also had a crush on Danny but because he is her best friend’s brother, so she had listed him as off-limits. Read the entire story yourself to know what happens further.

The story is written well. The plot of the story is intriguing and I enjoyed reading this light romance story. Narration is clear and smooth. Cover page of the book is so decent. Looking forward to read more books from the author in the future.

Lingering Poets is a novel that will give you sneak peek into the mind of the protagonist who was not much happy with his monotonous life. The story is about a boy Samuel who quit his schooling so he could get a well paying job. His uncle helped him to get a job of a postman in the US Postal Service.

Although his passion was to write but for his love Susan, he left his passion and took a job. Sam put so much efforts to keep Susan happy but she got bored from him and took divorce accompanied with good alimony. His daily routine involved delivering mail packages and dreaming about the content of the packages. But he was too bored of this monotonous routine.

We get to read about the inner thoughts of the protagonist in this story. When Sam’s friend David got out of jail, the story became more gripping. Grab a copy of this book and read yourself to find out what will eventually happen with Sam. Written in a simple language and with smooth narration, I found the story interesting. Since the book has mature content, so it is recommended for only adults.

The Conductor is the Book Two of the Circle series written by the author Brenda Hardwick. The story starts sadly with Soraya back from the funeral of her mother Constance Rawlings and her mentor Iona. Inspite of her grief, she felt responsible towards the Circle and after all she is not the only one who is suffering. Four of The Circle’s shop owners had died: Zacharias in Chicago’s Hearth Shop; Willamae in DC’s Love Shop; Walterine in LA’s Peace Shop; and Iona in the Home Shop.

Soraya found a black and white photo having 12 young people and she thought they must be the 12 shop owners including Iona. While Soraya was picking the photo, she heard the voice of Iona but she couldn’t see her. Now with elders and her own mentor Iona gone, Soraya felt like she doesn’t have to do all this alone. She now have to figure out why the elders were murdered and how she can protect the others.

After the murder of four shop owners, Shawn Kites, owner and CEO of DNAgen Biolabs is ready to pick the next shop owner in St. Louis. These shop owners are a threat to Shawn’s plan of marketing Melacrit (DNAgen’s new drug) to White Supremist target consumerism. Will Shawn be successful in removing the next shop owner from his way or will Soraya be successful in protecting the Circle. Grab a copy of this book and unveil the suspense yourself.

As compared to the first part, this book is much longer. The story is fast paced so I wasn’t bored at any moment. The cover page of the book is nice and related to the story. The story is intense and I couldn’t put this book down. I am looking forward to read Freedom Rings ( Book 3 of the Circle) that is yet to be released.

The Benevolent Lords of Sometimes Island is the eighth novel written by the author Scott Semegran. The story is set in 1986 Texas. The protagonist of the story is William Flynn from the suburban town Converse that is outside of San Antonio, Texas. He went to Franklin D Roosevelt School and made his best friends there. His friends are Randy Moss, Brian Johnson, and Miguel Gonzalez.

All these four friends were so close like four peas in a pod. William and his friends experienced the most dangerous event when they were in seventh grade.

The Thousand Oaks Gang led by
“Bloody” Billy Callahan are the high school bruisers. Billy is a student of Robert E Lee High School. When Billy was bullying Randy, the guard saw it and ran behind the Thousand Oaks Gang to catch it. The gang escaped but unfortunately Billy forgot his backpack on the ground. When William and his friends opened the backpack, they found thousands of dollars and marijuana in it. Read the story to know what William and his friends will do with the backpack and what danger is waiting for them ahead?

The writing style of the author is nice. Language of the book is easy to understand with smooth narration. The plot is interesting and unique. This is an action packed novel that will keep you hooked until you finish it.

I love reading romance fictions. Recently I read this book “The One That Got Away”. It is a romance novel by the author Marisa Scolamiero. The protagonist of the story is Charlie Moreau. She is a small town girl from Belmont, North Carolina. She moved to New York and joined as an assistant magazine editor there. Charlie loved the liveliness of the New York City.

Back in high school, she was so naive to believe that the most popular guy of the school Will Russo liked her. Everyone made fun of her for her assumption and since then Charlie kept herself closed off when it came to men. After ten years, she was surprised one day when she found Will Russo standing in front of her. Will now is a corporate lawyer and look more handsome as compared to high school. Grab a copy of this book and read the story yourself to know what happens next.

I find romance fictions as easy breezy read. They always cheer up my mood. Cover page and the title of this book is so apt. I love the writing style of the author. Narration of the story is smooth and the language is lucid. I finished this in two sittings. Thanks to the author for some good songs recommendation.

I definitely recommend this to romance fiction fans.

The story is set during the reign of Ramesses II. The protagonist of the story is a strong female character Istara, daughter of King of Kadesh.

The story starts with people of Kadesh waiting for the Hatti’s King Muwatallis to arrive. People of Kadesh were dying from hunger. When left with no choice, Kadesh’s sing Amunira had to open the gate for Egyptians. When Hatti’s King finally arrived, Amunira had to pay the blood payment for his disloyalty to Hatti. Soon, he saw his wife Azfara dead in front of him. Kadesh’s children and Istara was to be taken to Tarhuntassa, Hatti’s Capital, as hostages. Amunira’s daughter can live as long as Kadesh remain loyal to Hatti.

Urhi-Teshub of Hatti and Sethi of Egypt will impress you. The storyline is so intense and unique. The characters are well developed.

Author has done amazing work in her debut novel. I really appreciate her years of academic research to write this novel. To have a better understanding of the story, I would recommend other readers to refer the places given in the map. I had to reread few pages in the beginning to understand the characters and the places well but once I got the base, the story went smooth for me. The writing is complex, fresh and unique. The cover of the book is eye catchy and I am excited to read the sequel of this book now.

I recommend this to historical fiction fans.

Hawk went to collect fingerprints of his best friends Sandy Sue South and Tom Buford. They also formed “The Durrett Street Indispensables Handiservice”. The neighborhood use their different services especially the Dog walking service. Hawk is also excited because he want to learn how to collect and read fingerprints. Read the story to know will Hawk get a chance to solve the real mystery?

The story is written wrll. Language of the book is lucid and is easy to get. Cover page of the book is apt and well related to the contents of the story. This is a middle grade fiction for middle grade kids. I am sure that they gonna enjoy this story a lot.

Harlem Angel is a thriller by the author Brenda Hardwick. It is the first book in Book One of the Circle series. The protagonist of the story is Soraya Rawlings. She has always had bad dreams or nightmares but this time it is related to a murder.

In her dreams, Soraya saw two thugs Cuddy and Bro-Man silently entering an old man’s shop. Soraya knew this old man. He is a shopkeeper Zacharias of the Hearth Shop in Chicago. The thugs stabbed Zacharias multiple times and Zacharias is now dead. Soraya wakes up from her sleep screaming. This means whatever she just saw was a nightmare. Her mother Constance Rawlings asked Soraya to meet an old shopkeeper Iona Mabutu at the Home Shop on 125th. When Soraya entered the shop, it felt similar to the one she saw in her dreams.

Soraya was panicked to know from Iona that whatever she saw in her dream was real and her dreams are a vision of what is happening now. Soraya learnt that she is special as she can see things that are happening. Now, she has a responsibility to protect those who need her. Will Soraya be able to fulfill this responsibility keeping herself also safe.

The story is written well. Writing style of the author is unique and different. Worlds are mentioned in a different way like:
That as dat
This as dis
Begin as b’gin

Even though the words are written differently but one can understand it as they fit into sentences. The plot of the story is interesting. Soraya’s  character is amazing.

I recommend this action packed supernatural thriller to my fellow readers.

Eckron, an elder son of Zion and a military leader wasn’t happy about his brother’s entry to his father’s life. But both brothers didn’t have much time to let their differences to boost as the people of planet Chegonia was looking for rebellion. Will Helion and Eckron come together to fight the people of planet Chegonia? Grab a copy of this book and read the story yourself to unveil the suspense.

The storyline is nice and the pace of the novel is fast so I didn’t felt bored at all while reading. However, the book needs proper editing as there were long paragraphs with no proper spacing. It was a short read for me with six chapters covered in 161 pages. The world building is also amazing and it made the story interesting. I am looking forward to read more books by the author.

Depression has increased too much these days. Every other people is suffering from it. Some people try to hide while they are depressed.

The protagonist of the story is Savannah Graft. She was living a happy life with her husband Pastor Shane and her kids Kennedi and SJ. Savannah was suffering from postpartum depression.

Shane started to notice strange things about Savannah like when she couldn’t sleep and she went to rearrange the pantry at two in the morning. With her stranger behavior, Savannah made Shane worried as she could be dangerous to kids. But Shane like a good husband kept on asking her if he can help her.

The story is written well. Getting a good sleep and a peaceful mind is very important nowadays. Narration of the story is smooth and the language is lucid. This book that talks about mental health is a must read by everyone. People who are depressed should have someone with whom they can discuss everything without being judged.
