Blood Bonded penned by the author Jonathan T. Salisbury is the first book in The Portal and Key Chronicles series. After murdering Ra’Day who was Maghentum, Eva and her friends escaped from the apartment and left in a car. Just a day before Eva learnt a little about the new other-worldly race when she met Abigail and Brynjar.

Coming to earth is a death sentence for Fae. It’s a one-way ticket for them. But Ceann Olc who is not an average foe shouldn’t be taken lightly. He is after Eva and he must have sent his generals on Earth. Calder has traveled across the realm and is after Eva with his powerful army that includes Muzalim. Eva lost Abigail and now they are on the run. Grab a copy of this book and get to know what Eva will discover in her journey?

Story plot is interesting. Characters are well written and there is much action in the story which hooked my attention from the first page. Cover photo of the book is nice with a suitable title. Pace of the story is fast and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading it. I am looking forward to read next book in the series.

The Decision is a novella written by the author Alyssa Milani. It is one of the many stories from her upcoming novel “Asylum of Diction”. Main character of the story is Hardy. She is a journalist and has done a piece on The Ultimatum. This made masked man’s attention fell on Hardy making her and her lived ones a victim of him. To save her son Oliver, she has to make The Decision.

There are three people in front of her. One is Raleigh, Oliver’s father. Another is Mike, her recent fling and third is Tom with whom she had been in relationship for two years. Tom has helped Hardy many times with Oliver. Now, Hardy has to make the decision before time ends. Otherwise, anyone could be picked out of the three guys, Hardy herself or her son Oliver. Will Hardy be able to make this difficult choice?

Title of the book is perfect and cover photo is nice. Alyssa’s stories are unique and intriguing. I love reading novellas and this is one of the best thriller novella that I have read. After reading this, I am really looking forward to read “Asylum of Diction”.

The protagonist tried different relationships. First she met a handsome, athletic man Kurt who mostly come to Coretta for money or sex. Being a single mother managing finance for raising a daughter itself is difficult and if you get a partner who is sucking money from you, then life gets harder. Another guy is Curtis who met her online on a dating site. Curtis never revealed much details about his life to her and he often stay quiet.

Story is set in the year 2000 and seems like a diary entry. Since it is written in first person, readers could connect well with the story. Language of the book is simple and easy to understand. This book will make the readers connect to the feelings of a protagonist and her longing for a partner. Spending life alone in old days is definitely difficult. Mostly women look for emotional connection in the relationship and not just making love. There are so many poems in this book. The book gets little emotional at times. It’s a worth reading story.

The Spirit Play is a fictional story written by the author Mig Lopez. In this story, 2000 years ago, Jesus died and he was given renewed life as a gift by his father so he was able to live the life he was meant to live. So, Jesus created a Spirit Play so some can have a chance at an afterlife. Story is set in the town of Limbo that has its own rules and Bronze, silver or gold thorns as currencies. Story plot is intriguing. Spirit Play i.e. the titular story is the first one in the book.

This book also has another story but that is a romantic one. Story features two guys Xavier and Axel. The ground is shaking and what matters for Xavier as the world is about to end is to reach to Axel. Xavier was happy to make it to Axel. Find out yourself what happens in the story further.

Story includes some illustrations that made me to enjoy the book more. This is a unique book and I haven’t read anything like this till now. I am impressed by author’s imagination and the interesting storylines that he has created in this book. All the characters are written nicely. It’s a worth reading book. I strongly recommend this to my fellow readers.

“Secrets Why Was I Born In This Family?” is a Book written by the author Sandra Walters and illustrated by Pavel Melecky. This book revolves around the life of Shannon Ann Baker. Story shows how she was brought in this world by her mother Caroline. Caroline had hidden her pregnancy from her family because she knew that nobody will support her. But one day when her water bag broke, the truth came out in front of everyone. Caroline’s mom don’t like the father of a yet-to-be-born kid so she developed an unliking towards Shannon.

As years passed, Caroline became habitual to getting intoxicated. This made Shannon and her elder sister Denise furious and sad because of their mother who was irresponsible towards them.

I could understand the feeling Shannon and her sister must have experienced after moving out of their Big Mama’s home into their own home. But that happiness didn’t lasted longer. Story is very emotional. Because of strong descriptions, I had the picture of all the scenes in my head while I was reading it. I like to strongly recommend this book to my fellow readers.

This book make readers aware about the emotions associated with infertility and provides them hope to overcome such feeling. Author has written this book from her own experience of infertility journey. She has shared how infertility can be very lonely. I totally agree with her when she mentioned that sometimes friends and family can’t provide you the support that a complete stranger who has walked the same path can provide. Someone who has been in our shoes can understand, guide and support us better.

There are different stages in infertility journey: Anger, Anxiety, Denial, Confusion, Envy, Disbelief, Doubt, etc.

This book tells readers how powerful hope is. It helps in carrying us through one of the most challenging times of our life. Even if you are not into your parenthood journey yet, you could read this book as it will provide you much needed hope for other challenging situations in your life. I got my hands on this book when I was feeling little low and this book left me inspired. Author’s writing style is amazing. Book is well presented. Cover of the book is nice and title is perfect. I like to strongly recommend this book to my fellow readers.

Awakening is the first installment in the Berserker Chronicles series penned down by the author Kevin D. Miller. Main character of the story is Leif Auzoux. He works as a bartender in LA. One day, when Leif was at his shift at The Slumbering Lion, he felt a strange sensation running down his spine. Soon, he saw a strange man with black eyes that seems weird and dangerous. Leif immediately felt something is wrong with the man. On his way to home he passed out and when he woke up, he was lying near a giant wolf and strange man was also there across the street.

Leif quickly made to his apartment. He started observing strange colors of the sky which weren’t visible when he clicked a photo with his phone. When Leif was waiting for the pizza he ordered, same strange man entered his house as a delivery guy. He attacked Leif but Leif was lucky to survive and knocked him dead.

Story is quite intriguing and I kept on turning pages after pages. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I was glad to get few extra info from the book like Vargr were mentioned in Norse Mythology as being descendants of the Norse god Fenrir. Language of the book is lucid. Story is fast paced and it kept my interest throughout the book. Really curious to read Book 2 Accenssion in the series.

The Institute is the first book that I have read penned down by the author J.R. Wirth. Story has various main characters and hooked me right from the first page. Melissa Jenkins is a seventeen years old girl. She has just finished high school and is excited for college. She has spent most of her life at the Institute. Her late father was one of the Institute’s founders. Melissa was recently asked to assist the lead scientist at the Institute and she would receive stipend for volunteering work.

On the other hand, a seventeen years old Gabriel Rucker dreams of rescuing a beautiful woman. Same woman keep invading his dreams.

Another character of importance is the lead scientist Dr Jonas Smith at the Institute. During his tenure at the Serenity Institute, he was known as the Scarecrow to keep his identity secret. Jonas is working on some important experiments in return for which he would receive millions and a vacation. Will he be successful?

Written in a simple language, this is a captivating story. It arrested my attention totally and I wasn’t able to keep the book aside. Although the length of the novel is much but one wouldn’t feel as the story is interesting and will leave you turning pages after pages. Cover photo of the book is nice and title is appropriate. I strongly recommend this book to my fellow readers.

Jett Landry: The Fuse penned down by the author Stephan Oak is the first book in The Jett Landry Saga book series. Jett is a teenager who moved from Baltimore to Texas after the demise of her mother to live with her father Markus Jackson who is a Private Detective. At new school in the Port City, she was picked on by a bully kid Mike and his friends.

Mike calls Jett with different names like animal, half breed, etc. When one day Jett returned from school, she was upset. Her dad asked her the reason and taught her to deal with a bully. He taught her how to throw a punch to defend herself. Curious Jett learnt more Karate Punches move from youtube. Next time if anyone bullies her, she took them to the ground and often got suspended from school for this.

Jett is a fighter. A strong girl like her is an inspiration for other kids not to be the victim of other’s bullies. Parents play an important role in shaping their kids. The values that Mike’s father provided him weren’t good so Mike became a bully kid. Language of the book is lucid. The story hooked me right from the front page and is worth reading. One couldn’t afford to miss to read this book at all.

One day, when Sal picked his niece Dani from daycare, they went to Victoria’s hotel. At the hotel, Sal was cleaning the room for a special guest Scarlett Sanders aka Scarlett the Starlet. She had a Disney Channel show with that same name “Scarlett the Starlet”. Grab a copy of this book and get to know more about the friendship of Scar and Sal.

Author has included Scarlett (The Starlet) Playlist also in the book so readers could enjoy music also while reading. Language of the book is lucid and I was easily able to follow the story. Storyline is interesting however writing needs to be more polished. Title of the book is well related to the contents. If you are looking for a book for light reading then go ahead with this one.
