Nobody’s Road written by the author Vera Jane Cook is a Sci-fi fantasy fiction story. The year is 2045. America is ruled by “The Brain”. Most of the species are extinct. Rivers have dried. Vegetation has rotted. The Brains control the news that people receive. Every day murders are happening and most of them are done by the children.

The Brains don’t allow children to bond. Even though Adina is a journalist, she can’t report it. Whatever is typed in the computer is read by the Brain and they delete the news related to report of any murder. Harry Cooper was looking for a wife. When his eyes fell on Adina’s file, he was immediately attracted to her. Harry put efforts to make Adina his wife. He succeeded and they had a beautiful wedding. Read this story to know about the common mission of Harry and Adina.

The plot of the story is unique. I enjoyed every bit of this story. Cover photo of the book is nice and the title is suitable. Writing style of Vera is amazing. Characters are well written. Adina’s character is my favorite. Those who love reading sci-fi stories should get their hands on this book right away.

Louis had made a great contribution to the society by inventing Rape Kits. When he died, hundreds of sexual assault victims sent cards and letters to express their gratitude for Louis’ contribution to society. Louis was the kind of person who couldn’t watch injustice happen. In Dec 1942, he enlisted and entered active duty for the US Air Force in Apr 1943. Louis remained on active duty until Feb 1946. Even though Louis never admitted it, he suffered from the PTSD of the war.

After much education, Louis became Chi-
cago Police Sergeant and the Chief Analyst of the Chicago Police Department’s Crime Lab. Even though Louis’ job wasn’t easy, he was good at what he did. Because of his role in Richard Speck’s conviction, Louis received many letters and cards praising him for his key role in the case. With more experience, Louis identified the deficits in the evidence collection process. He invented Rape Kits as a result.

Before reading this book, I wasn’t aware that PTSD could occur from even witnessing traumatic events. Louis’ story is worth knowing. I appreciate Tristin for sharing Louis’ journey with us. Writing style of the author is wonderful and narration is easy to follow. I really appreciate Louis’ contribution to this society. I like to strongly recommend this novel to others.

She stands at the foot of her grandparents’ home but is unprepared to enter it. Her grandfather aka Poppy has passed away. He is not there to welcome Ella in the cottage which has once provided comfort, stability, and love to her.

Before Poppy passed, he asked Ella to find a box in the cottage. Poppy also asked Ella to watch who you trust. Poppy didn’t wake up after his heart failed for the second time. Ella found white envelopes with letters inside them. In one of the letters, it was written ‘Please don’t waste your time on me when the real criminal is out there somewhere…’. After reading more letters, Ella found out that Poppy was in love with a woman named Gianna but has something bad happened to her? Was Poppy responsible for that?

Read this story to find out the dark secrets that have been buried in the Perri’s family for a long time. Story is intriguing. Pace of the story is fast and I enjoyed every bit of it. The author has created a great plot. I love Krissy’s writing style. Those who love reading mystery stories couldn’t afford to miss reading this one.

He is also making the readers aware about an insight of the process of anaesthesia. The most interesting thing about this book is that the author has portrayed anaesthetist as a human being.

Anaesthetists are aka gasoose or gasman. Gasooses manage sick patients in intensive care and high dependency units. However, their role in maternity is beyond words. Gasooses who deal with children, especially premature babies are the most amazing people.

I am really glad that I got my hands on this book. Before reading this book, I didn’t have any idea about the gasman. But now, I know a lot about him. It’s a must read book. Really thankful to the author for sharing all the information in this book from his experience, observations, etc. The quotes mentioned in the chapters are worth knowing. I really loved the writing style of the author. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.

Miranda is the main character of the story. In high school, she was in love with a guy named Liam Kincaid. Unfortunately fate separated them. But Miranda thought what a love story theirs might have been if they wouldn’t have to separate. So, she decided to write her story in the form of a book. The characters got their names Nicole and Garrett. When Garrett moved to Toronto, Nicole used to miss her. One day, she visited Garrett in Toronto. Garrett was the guy with whom Nicole lost her virginity. Nobody else could make her feel the way he did. Nicole has got a job in New York but Garrett is in Canada. Will they be able to make their long distance relationship work?

The story is engaging and gripping. I could very well relate to the feelings of long distance lovers as I have been in a long distance relationship once. This is a wonderful story that one would enjoy reading. I love the letter writing parts of the story. Since the plot moves back and forth, the story requires more concentration while reading. Otherwise, one would miss a part. I liked the way the story ended. Go ahead with this book. I am sure you would enjoy reading it.

In 2019, Lara was living in Canberra, Australia. She had two job offers in hand. But she left both and decided to move to the UK again. In Sep 2019, returned to Godalming in the UK. Then, she contacted Aleksander who was her good friend and love. But in the past, Lara had run away to Australia leaving him alone. But Aleksander still had feelings for Lara so he wanted to give a try to their relationship. In Jan 2020, Lara moved in with Aleksander. In the past, Lara had been a victim of schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. But in 2020, she started loving her schizophrenia. She decided to be no longer apologetic for her mental health. I really appreciate the way the author has shared about her personal battles with the readers.

The 14 lessons from 2020 that are shared in this book are amazing. Writing style of the author is nice. Language used in the book is lucid and I was able to follow the whole story. If you love reading memoirs then go ahead with Lara’s books.

Maricela has started this book by mentioning her community and her superhero grandmother Tita. One important lesson that I learnt from this book is about being resourceful, to see beyond what you have. Maricela described how her mother had to move, leaving behind the community in which she had grown up. Her mother took the difficult journey so she could offer better opportunities to her kids. But life in Mexico wasn’t that easy in the beginning.

Once, Maricela’s family came into a situation where her mother had to take the decision to send her kids to an orphanage. This inspired Maricela to help her mother so they could stay together. Read this book to know about her entire journey in creating a life of abundance.

Through this book, the author is inspiring readers to break the chains of scarcity and create a life of abundance. I highly recommend this book to my fellow readers so they would be motivated by reading this book and start their journey towards success. Title of the book couldn’t have been better than this. Go ahead with it. I am sure you would take away at least something useful from the author’s story.

Our inner light is very powerful and its shine is the best. This is an inspiring poetry book that inspires readers to rise out of shadows that hold them back. The beautiful artwork made this poetry collection more enjoyable. Readers would be motivated to take the journey from shadow to sunshine after reading this book.

Writing style of the author is nice. Cover photo of the book looks lovely. Title couldn’t have been more appropriate. Written in a lucid language, poetry lovers would definitely enjoy this collection. Go ahead and read it.
