Branded is a Young Adult fantasy novel penned by the author Joseph T Humphrey. This is the first installment in ‘The Forgotten Series’.

Main character of the story is a high school kid named Henry Murphy. When Henry was born, his parents had to enter another realm to save their lives. Henry’s parents Thom and Dawn entered the new realm and mixed up with others to live a normal life. After years, Henry is a senior at Middleton High. Charley is an orphan girl and is a friend of Henry at the school.

Once when Henry was in the classroom, he saw a hall monitor in a blue vest taking Rachel out of the classroom. But when Henry checked with others, they all said nothing like that happened. Henry even told his parents about it. Read this story to know what happens next. What challenges Henry might have to face?

This is a wonderful story. Plot of the story is interesting. Cover photo is eye-catching and the language used in the book is lucid. Pace of the story is fast and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading it. Those who enjoy reading fantasy stories shouldn’t miss to get their hands on this book.

Recently I read the book “My Vagina Doesn’t Do the Dishes” penned by the author Suzanne Arden. In this book, the author has mentioned how we have been programmed to leave no time for ourselves to be feminine. We believe that as women, we can do it all and we get drained trying to prove it right. Being a working woman, it is not easy to do it all by yourself. So, the author wants to suggest readers ask for help.

It’s time for women to support each other and show compassion for each other. We should support each other in building instead of tearing down.

The thought provoking questions given at the end of the chapters are amazing. I am glad to get my hands on this book. I appreciate Suzanne’s thoughts and writing style in this book.

It is an insightful book. I like to recommend it strongly to my fellow readers.

Unlawful Games written by the author Adam Klein is a suspense novel. Main character of the story is a defense attorney Salvatore Amici. He has a loving wife Danielle Amici and is a father of two kids. Sal recently won the biggest case of his life by defending his client David Flores. What Sal didn’t know is that one morning two NYPD detectives would come to his door to tell him that David Flores has been arrested for murdering his wife and son.

Sal collapsed after the cops left. Somewhere he considered himself responsible for the murder of David’s son and wife. If he hadn’t defended David, they would have been alive.

Read this story to know will Sal ever trust anyone again? Writing style of the author is amazing. Cover photo is well designed. Pace of the story is fast and I enjoyed every bit of it. The story kept me on the edge and I was curious till the last page to know what will happen next. Those who love reading suspense novels should get their hands on this one.

The Crew includes Lucas, June, Blake, Jay, and Maci. Different members have different jobs in the crew. It could be stealing or guarding. Lucas is the one who always gets Kalamiti out of trouble. Kalamiti stole a black BMW Z4. She got caught by the police and taken to a detention center in Springfield, Illinois.

Kalamiti’s grandmother Nonna picked her and took her to her home in San Jose, California. Soon, Kalamiti was enrolled into school. Even though she had to leave the Crew members behind, one of the members, Lucas, met her again. Read this story yourself to know what will happen next.

This is a wonderful story for light reading. Cover photo of the book is nice. Narration is smooth. This story is written in first person Pov so readers would enjoy it more. I strongly recommend this book to young adults.

“Born to Jump” penned by the author L’Tanya Parks is an inspirational story. L’Tanya was blessed to have been born in a loving, nurturing family. She believes how we’re nurtured shapes who we become. In our life, we have few people who are happy to see us flourish. They are an inspiration to us to truly live. Losing her father was a first jump for the author. This made her realize that life is short and is meant to be meaningful and joyful. Taylore’s accident was the second jump for the author as it changed her life and the way she parented.

The thought provoking questions given at the end of the chapters are amazing. This book inspired me to be grounded in our faith and believe in higher power. Writing style of the author is amazing.

Those who love reading motivational memoirs should get their hands on this book. Cover photo of the book is nice and the title couldn’t have been better than this. I am glad to get my hands on this book. It is an inspirational read. Looking forward to reading more books by the author.

“Getting Off The Nail” is one woman’s inspiring story penned by the author Angela Stigler. In this book, Angela has shared her story. Her father told her not to marry the guy she has selected but Angela ignored the warnings, red signs, etc. During her marriage, her husband blamed her for everything that went wrong. He wasn’t taking any responsibility for his wrong actions.

Angela had put much effort into making her marriage work but later she felt that she was nurturing a dead limb. She was sick and tired of carrying the burden of blame and shame of being married to a cheater. Angela along with her husband seeked marital counsel but a counselor could only help if both the persons are ready to work towards their relationship. Read this story to know how Angela embarked on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

This book would definitely help someone who is in Angela’s shoes. Faith and God’s divine love play an important role in our life. This book is inspiring. I am glad to get my hands on it.

I really appreciate the author’s advice of not marrying at a young age as our minds aren’t developed that much. Marriage is a life altering decision which we should take after being a bit mature. Angela’s writing style is nice. I appreciate her for sharing about her journey with us. This is a book that I like to recommend strongly to my fellow readers. It’s worth reading.

Vegetation has rotted. The Brains control the news that people receive. Every day murders are happening and most of them are done by the children.

The Brains don’t allow children to bond. Even though Adina is a journalist, she can’t report it. Whatever is typed in the computer is read by the Brain and they delete the news related to report of any murder. Harry Cooper was looking for a wife. When his eyes fell on Adina’s file, he was immediately attracted to her. Harry put efforts to make Adina his wife. He succeeded and they had a beautiful wedding. Read this story to know about the common mission of Harry and Adina.

The plot of the story is unique. I enjoyed every bit of this story. Cover photo of the book is nice and the title is suitable. Writing style of Vera is amazing. Characters are well written. Adina’s character is my favorite. Those who love reading sci-fi stories should get their hands on this book right away.

When he died, hundreds of sexual assault victims sent cards and letters to express their gratitude for Louis’ contribution to society. Louis was the kind of person who couldn’t watch injustice happen. In Dec 1942, he enlisted and entered active duty for the US Air Force in Apr 1943. Louis remained on active duty until Feb 1946. Even though Louis never admitted it, he suffered from the PTSD of the war.

After much education, Louis became Chi-
cago Police Sergeant and the Chief Analyst of the Chicago Police Department’s Crime Lab. Even though Louis’ job wasn’t easy, he was good at what he did. Because of his role in Richard Speck’s conviction, Louis received many letters and cards praising him for his key role in the case. With more experience, Louis identified the deficits in the evidence collection process. He invented Rape Kits as a result.

Before reading this book, I wasn’t aware that PTSD could occur from even witnessing traumatic events. Louis’ story is worth knowing. I appreciate Tristin for sharing Louis’ journey with us. Writing style of the author is wonderful and narration is easy to follow. I really appreciate Louis’ contribution to this society. I like to strongly recommend this novel to others.

Ella found white envelopes with letters inside them. In one of the letters, it was written ‘Please don’t waste your time on me when the real criminal is out there somewhere…’. After reading more letters, Ella found out that Poppy was in love with a woman named Gianna but has something bad happened to her? Was Poppy responsible for that?

Read this story to find out the dark secrets that have been buried in the Perri’s family for a long time. Story is intriguing. Pace of the story is fast and I enjoyed every bit of it. The author has created a great plot. I love Krissy’s writing style. Those who love reading mystery stories couldn’t afford to miss reading this one.
