Butterflies and Demons is a book written by the author Eva Maria Chapman. It is a story that will give you both pain and hope. The story is set in different timelines ranging from 1830 to 1950s and is told from different viewpoints.
The story is historical and has connection to author’s life. It is the story of Adelaide Aborigines who suffered a lot due to British Empire. Adelaide story interweaved with Kaurna story will be a delightful read for everyone. The story is written in the form of conversation and I enjoyed it.
Kaurna glossary given at the start of the book was helpful. Characters cast has been penned down in a list giving a feeling of movie cast.
I am glad that I have read this book as one can always learn a lot from someone else’s experience. The story narration is clear and the cover page is amazing. I would recommend it to my fellow readers definitely.

This is a story of three siblings: one brother and two twin sisters. Skateboard P being the big brother asked his sisters to listen him regarding how to bake. But Rae and Mae told him that he is not their incharge. Their mother gave them a wonderful lesson. Everyone has different skills and in a group, each person skills proves to be helpful.
The story is very well written. The vivid and colorful illustrations will immediately capture everyone’s attention. The book has rhyming words that makes it more interesting for the kids. It’s a five star read for me and I strongly recommend kids to have this book in their bookshelf.

Twas the Night Before Christmas is my favourite story among the collection. The best thing about these horror stories is that it will scare you the most when you were not expecting to be scared at all.
The supernatural activities described by the author made the book gripping. Suspense has been created finely by the author.
These stories are full of mystery but will scare you also. This book has made me a fan of horror genre. Cover page of the book is definitely attractive for all horror lovers. I have to sleep with lights on after reading this.

I recommend this book to black kids so they can learn about their black history and culture. It is very well written and illustrated. Nice way to teach kids about their history with the help of a story book.

Her dad took her to doctor’s office. Nurse Lauren asked Penelope to relax and assured her to be with her but Penelope asked for an excuse to go to the bathroom. Grab a copy of this book and read the story yourself to know will Penelope escape from the bathroom?
The story is written and narrated well. The illustrations are beautiful and the overall look of book is really nice. It reminded me of my childhood days when dad used to take me to doctor for vaccinations. This is really an interesting story and kids will surely enjoy it.

Be advised that book contains strong topics like violence, rape, suicide, etc. Cover page and title of the book is nice and related to the contents of the story. The language of the book is little hard at some points so I have to re-read those sections. But I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author and the intriguing story.
Q1. Hello Sir, can you please introduce yourself? Readers would love to know more about you.
Sure, My name is Gregory Muller. I was born in the apple farms of New York. Where I spent much of my youth, and education. Before leaving and moving to another state.
Q2. What were the key challenges you faced while writing ‘Chasing Stomach Butterflies’ book?
I think the key challenges were actually finishing. I have the ability to put words to page, with almost no difficulty. But to have the words and the story structure come together into a story that I can allow other people to see, takes much more time.
Q3. Is there lots to do before you drive in and start writing a book?
I did not think there was a lot, but the more I have done the more I realize the “pre-work” is more important. The easier writing the book becomes. Where the story is going to go. The emotions each scene is going to have, and so on. There is still a place for sudden moments, but I have been trying to move more towards structuring my writing.
Q4. What’s your favourite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?
I am not sure if i have a favorite spot. I have moved around so much, and been to so many great places that it is hard to choose any single one. If I had to, it would likely be in the forestes of small mountains. Something about the wonderful tree smells, seculustion, and connection to nature that seems to bring me back to it, wherever I am.
Q5. When writing a book how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
I think the best way to keep things fresh is to have some stake in the characters. Have them be real enough that when they hurt, I hurt. When they laugh, I laugh. Bland characters make me not want to write it, let alone read it. So I write for myself first.
Q6. How long did it take you to write this book?
This book took six or nine months, depending on when I put the official start date. But it is not a long book, nor was it a standalone. It was meant as an attachment to another book that has not come out.
Q7. What does success means to you?
I have not really defined success that much. I enjoy writing, and hoping to be able to do it for a long time would be my threshold for success.
Q8. Tell us about the process of coming up with the book cover and the title ‘Chasing Stomach Butterflies’?
So, I was going through the different emotions that the main character Natalie was going through in the story, and I was comparing the different titles that already exist. Such as “Looking for Alaska” in a brainstorm session it sort of appeared. And it just seemed to work. As far as the book cover. I had some ideas, as to what I wanted it to look like. I got a note early on that, my book was like Rol Dahl. So I gave my book cover designer, some direction with that.
Q9. What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?
One of the most influencing books was the christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence also deserves much credit for young artists being the main character. Towards the end of writing this book, I was also reading a lot of Musashi, and it certainly affected me.
Q10. Are there any secrets from the book (that aren’t in the blurb), you can share with your readers?
I don’t think so, I tried my best in writing the blurb to have the best stuff packed into it, So any secrets that might be inside of the book, I have forgotten at this point, in my journey.

Narration of the story is simple and choice of colours in illustrations is amazing. This story gives a strong message to kids not to bully others. This is an amazing story of Cray and I recommend it to other kids.
Dear Hope is a short poetry book written by the author Viviane Simoes. It is a collection of poems that gives you hope. They are aligned to the left, in centre and to the right. In these poems, author has expressed her deepest fears, thoughts, and hope that women who search for self love has. I really loved below poem from the book.

The book is written well but the illustrations are very basic and could have been more creative. The message given by the book to motivate little black kids is amazing. Must pick this book.
