“The Inside Out Worlds: Visions of Strange” is the latest book by the author Sophie Jupillat Posey that I have read. There are ten short stories in this book.
Full Integration is an intriguing story of a vampire who was made in the twenty-third century. Humans have destroyed the Earth almost and they are going to explore the Milky Way. The vampire found a little girl from whom he drank little blood that he could get but was still hungry. I like the concept of a vampire struggling to get human blood because of technology.
The Sea is a story of a boy who has crazy ocean dreams. As a kid, his parents and sister Ciara thought that he wet the bed but he smelled like the ocean. Because of these dreams, he couldn’t have women come over for romantic encounters.
Cover photo of the book is eye-catching. Writing style of the author is impressive. Pace of the stories are fast. Narration is smooth and strong. Characters are written well by the author. You’ll be left with wanting more stories as you finish this book.
If you enjoy reading short stories then don’t miss to get your hands on this book. I am delighted to read this dark collection of shart stories. I am sure you would enjoy it.
“Skeletons: Book One” penned by the author Darby S. Fisher is a fantasy story. Main character of the story is a potion maker and brewer Noel. Noel lives underground. Sometimes she wondered what was above the rocky sky. She always believed that there is someone more experienced, more talented than her which is true with us in our real life too.
Noel lives in a house that was built by her parents with care and magic. She made a key from the marble to wear around her neck. Once she was visited by an elf named Robin. As Noel drifted to sleep, Robin carried her in his muscular arms and took her key. Noel would be needing her key back to return to home. After a long sleep, Robin took her to Zenith. There, people said thank you to Robin for bringing the clan of Zenith, a Sorceress Queen Noel. Read this story to know how Noel will face her greatest fears.
I appreciate the author’s vivid imagination in creating this magical fantasy world. Storyline is interesting and I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading it. Cover photo of the book is attractive. Narration is smooth and the characters are well written by the author. Teenagers and adults would be delighted to read this story.
Murphy’s Law is the third book of the author Karahn Washington. Main character of the story is Murphy. She is from the town of Franklin, North Carolina. The town of Franklin tries to trap you.
Murphy’s family had 5 members: her parents, brother, sister and Murphy. Her father couldn’t provide much for the family because of which her mother decided to be a career woman. But her mother fell to drugs and their hope for a normal life was on Murphy. She felt this as a burden on her at a little age of 11. Because of the child labor laws, Murphy couldn’t work but the universe answered her prayers in the form of Hunter, her ex-fiance. Read this story to know what Hunter and Murphy will do to make money. What will be the consequences that she or others may have to face?
Story is unique. Pace of the story is fast and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading it. Cover of the book is eye-catching. Title is suitable according to the story. This is the first book by Karahn that I have read. Looking forward to reading more of his work.
“Dissolving the Anchor” is an intriguing read penned by the author H. I. Yates. In this book, the author has given an advice on how we can rewire our mind to take control of our life.
After a suicide attempt, Yates felt that she only wants to end her pain, not her life. In this book, Yates has shared many of her personal experiences when she felt alone and undesirable.
I agree with the author when she has mentioned what we as authority figures say may affect others for years to come. We should have empathy for others. Author has shared the Do’s and Don’ts to deal with someone who is feeling suicidal.
The title of the book couldn’t have been more suitable. While reading this book, I could very well relate to many moments. Now, I am feeling empowered and aware to cope with the emotional pain in a healthy way. Writing style of the author is amazing. I am glad to get my hands on this book at the right time. This book is highly recommended to all my fellow readers.
Of Ink and Roses is an intriguing story penned by the author J. E Jones. Story features Princess Ariella. There was a time when Ariella had enjoyed extravagant dinners but now she has to struggle everyday for her meals. When she was hiding on the tree, she heard Darius and others having a conversation about how King Stellan murdered his daughter.
Ariella has lived in Baranok all her life. One day, she fled to the land of Catronas. Catronas has everything she could ever want. For three years, Ariella lived in secrecy. The crown of Targanoth is an ancient legend. If Ariella’s father could get his hands on the crown, he would have endless power. Will Ariella find the crown before her father? Read this gripping story and find out what happens next.
Cover photo of the book is well designed. The title is suitable. The story kept me on the edge while reading. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. Pace of the story is fast and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading it. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.
Book: Elite Communication Skills for Young Professionals
Author: Ty Hoesgen
Available On: Amazon
Language: English
Rating: 5/5
“Elite Communication Skills for Young Professionals” penned by the author Ty Hoesgen is a book that one must read for sure.
This book guides the readers so they can hone their communications skills and get a positively unfair advantage in their professional life.
“Compare yourself to the person you were yesterday and strive to be better.”
This book reminded me of a very important lesson. When we compare ourselves with someone better, we get disappointed and we lose our confidence. So, it’s time for us to shift our focus from other people to ourselves. I agree with Ty when he has mentioned how body language plays a crucial role. Listening and speaking-up are also very important parts of communication skills.
Even though I am a well liked person in my team, due to my shyness, I couldn’t express myself verbally with confidence. This book has given me great knowledge and tips. I will definitely apply them in my career to level up.
I have mentioned a few points from this book in my journal so I can refer to them quickly and apply them in my life. I appreciate Ty for sharing his knowledge with us. It is an insightful read. Writing style of the author is impressive. I would like to recommend this book strongly to my colleagues. I am truly grateful to get my hands on this book.
Q1. Hello Ma’am, can you please introduce yourself? Readers would love to know more about you.
I am Mr. Karahn Washington. I’m from the state of South Carolina. My name is pronounced like the book of Islam, not like “Karen”.
Q2. What were the key challenges you faced while writing ‘Murphy’s Law’ book?
The biggest challenge I had while writing Murphy’s Law was writing the ending. I didn’t know how to end the book. My original ending of the book had Murphy being beaten to death by David and Augustine stepping in to save the day. The book would have had an abrupt ending.
Q3. What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?
The Robert Greene and Tucker Max most influenced my own writing.
Q4. What’s your favourite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?
Right now, my favorite spot to visit in my own country is Mount Creek Grove Nudist Resort in Cleveland, GA. It’s special to me because I am free to do what I want to do. I love to be naked. I like being in nature. Harridan’s Hideout is based on various nudist and swinger spots I’ve frequented.
Q5. Is there lots to do before you drive in and start writing a book?
Yes. Before I start writing any manuscript, I spend 30 minutes drawing pictures. I draw pictures to warm up my brain and open up my creativity. Think of it as stretching before a run.
Q6. How long did it take you to write ‘Murphy’s Law’ book?
It took me 2-3 years to write Murphy’s Law.
Q7. On what all platforms readers can find ‘Murphy’s Law’ book to buy?
Murphy’s Law is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Q8. Tell us about the process of coming up with the book cover and the title ‘Murphy’s Law’?
I did some research on trending book covers. The color pink was a trending style for book covers at the time of my research. I wanted the cover to be simple and aesthetically pleasing. I had the cover look like the real Murphy that the story is based on. A girl that I know who goes by Murphy told me that I should write a book based on her life entitled Murphy’s Law. Murphy pitched me the book. I expanded her story with my own experiences.
Q9. When writing a book how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
When writing a book, I write chapters based on need. Some of my chapters are a couple of pages. Other chapters are much longer. Knowing when to end a chapter is how I keep things fresh.
Q10. Are there any secrets from the book (that aren’t in the blurb), you can share with your readers?
The dialogues that I used for the Ace Mob in the chapter “The Meat Market” was taken from real Tweets from arguments that I had on Twitter with asexuals.
The Magician is the first book in Tales from the Deck series. After his divorce, Michael is lonely. His friends Sarah and Dan had invited him to have fun together on the weekend but Michael was busy. Suddenly, all his clients cancelled on him and the universe conspired to make Michael visit his friends. There, Sarah and Dan introduced him to Shiloh who is a veteran in tarot card reading.
When Michael wanted to know about his future and was with Shiloh, he discovered that he is a Magician. With this new information, Michael’s world is about to change. Unveil yourself by reading this unputdownable story, what will happen next.
This story is a perfect escape from the real world. Plot is written nicely by the author. Language used in the book is simple and I was able to follow it easily. Pace of the story is fast and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading this. Author has constructed a very intriguing world in the story.
I enjoyed this story till the last page. Go ahead with it without any second thoughts.
Hero Maker is a YA fiction penned by the author Tom Starace. Main character of the story is a sixteen-year-old Adam. Adam has been having strange dreams from the age of seven. These dreams leave him confused and exhausted.
In his dreams, Adam gets inside the body of a kid who is in trouble and Adam makes the kid take brave steps that saves their lives and makes them heroes.
When Adam wakes up from his dreams, from the newspaper, he finds out whatever he saw in the dream has happened to real people at a real place. Adam’s supernatural power made the story much more interesting.
I couldn’t put this book down until I finished reading it. Cover photo of the book is nice and the title is suitable according to the story. Plot of the story is nice. Characters are well written and Adam’s character is my favorite. I enjoyed every bit of this book. Looking forward to reading more books by Tom in the future.
Q1. Hello Ma’am, can you please introduce yourself? Readers would love to know more about you.
My name is Stephany Barcomb. I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Central Florida. Obviously, I love to write, but I also am an artist, an intermediate sewer, and love gaming and streaming casually. My lifelong dream was to write a book, then it upgraded to publish a book. My new life long goal is to make writing and drawing my work. There’s no better way to support yourself, family, and friends than doing exactly what you love most!
Q2. What were the key challenges you faced while writing ‘The Last Sane Awoken : Freedom’ book?
The book itself is different. I was worried people may find it too off putting, but after years of pushing myself, I finally got to a point of just doing what I love.
Q3. What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?
The two books that stick out to me are Speak and Child Called It. While one is fiction and one is more of a biography, the impact those two books left on me was immense. I read them both in eighth grade, about 13 years old, because a teacher made us. Both focused on a different form of abuse and the survivor aspect of it. Reading such raw content helped me feel like I was not alone and the world truly was cruel to most. While it’s broken comfort, it is something we should keep bringing to light and make an active effort to better the lives of the next generation and those alive today.
Q4. What’s your favourite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?
Within my own state, I love going to St. Augustine. Seeing the forts, the old jail, the fountain of youth is cool, but learning about life back in the day and seeing it with your own eyes is incredible. Many forts were built in Puerto Rico, which I have yet to see, and it can feel like I’m getting a taste of home and familial history while there. My all-time favorite place has to be New York City. Manhattan has so much to offer. I love to eat and walk, so I can walk more than 14 miles and eat samples of delicious food all day long. The diversity is beautiful and being around a mix of people is where I am most comfortable. The city never sleeps, the food is amazing, fresh M&Ms are the best, and central park is simply gorgeous.
Q5. Is there lots to do before you drive in and start writing a book?
I think this depends on the person. My inspiration comes from movie scenes, games, but mostly seeing scenes to my music or dreaming scenes up. I started by writing the scenes that came to me, even if it was not chronological. It helped me get to know the world and the story so much more than outlining ever did. Once the story began to piece together, it was easier to start the book properly and string the events together. My sister on the other hand outlines much more. She outlines all her chapters with lots of detail and follows her guideline. If she was told to sit and write a scene out of the blue, it would be difficult. We’re all so different in how we think, so I think if anyone were to look into getting into writing, try storyboarding, character development, outline, or just start writing random stuff and see what you like!
Q6. How long did it take you to write ‘The Last Sane Awoken : Freedom’ book?
The book itself took me less than a month. At the time, that was when the first and second book were together as one. Through editing, the entire book was split into Freedom, book 1, and Hope, book 2. I have up to book 7 written, but not heavily edited, so it’s possible the series may end up much longer than I originally anticipated.
Q7. On what all platforms readers can find ‘The Last Sane Awoken : Freedom’ book to buy?
Amazon and Barnes & Nobles are my two main sources to buy the book.
Q8. Tell us about the process of coming up with the book cover and the title ‘The Last Sane Awoken : Freedom’?
The cover was drawn about 4 times by me. I tried a few different styles and none of them spoke to me, nor did I think it resembled the tone of the book exactly how I wanted. The final cover was a blend of few ideas. I wanted the main character on the cover, and I wanted this greyscale look to feel a sense of dread, a bit of horror, and a strange mix of hopelessness and ferocity.
Q9. When writing a book how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
I let my characters tell me the story. Life is not predictable, so I want the book to mostly feel that way. Of course, to allow some events to happen there are small coincidences and I can see how people might say ‘But why didn’t they just do (blank)’? Think about it. When faced with real life, decisions are difficult. You do not always know what someone else is thinking or what their priorities are. Allow the characters to be themselves and there’s your story.
Q10. Are there any secrets from the book (that aren’t in the blurb), you can share with your readers?
There are many secrets in the entire series, which will be revealed in small doses. I will say this: the ancient Master Necromancers were a deadly, notorious bunch. The ancient Master Necromancers were among the first children created by the remains of Death’s flesh, the first few families of death sorcerers, necromancers. To ascend to masterhood grants the necromancer eternal life, so if they can protect their body from harm, they will live forever. Many of them are over 5,000 years old and from small tribal families. A couple of the main characters are related to a few of these ancient ones, bringing the descendants of these ancient ones much closer than they original thought.
