The Impostor Lie by Corinne Arrowood is an intense read from beginning to end. The story follows Babe and Trinity, with Chancรฉe making a striking presence. At eight pounds eleven ounces, Chancรฉe is a big baby for tiny Trinity. Trinity has no memory of her past life. Babe often visits the hospital to spend time with Chancรฉe.
Trinity remembers fragments, and for what she cannot recall, Babe steps in to fill the gaps. Yet, this is painful for himโthis Trinity is not the woman he once fell in love with. She doesnโt know about Babeโs boys and even calls him Vic instead of Babe. The weight of this change takes its toll on him. Still, he remains steadfast, holding true to his vow to stand by Trinity in sickness and in health, until death separates them.
The storyline kept me hooked throughout. It was wonderful to meet Babe again in this book. Corinne Arrowoodโs stories always leave a lasting impression, with her characters staying in my thoughts long after the final page. Iโm already eager to get my hands on the next installment in this series.
