“Sleeping with the Gasman” is an insightful read penned by the author Jazz Pal-Kerr. Through this book, the author is explaining the role of the anaesthetist in hospital medicine. He is also making the readers aware about an insight of the process of anaesthesia. The most interesting thing about this book is that the author has portrayed anaesthetist as a human being.
Anaesthetists are aka gasoose or gasman. Gasooses manage sick patients in intensive care and high dependency units. However, their role in maternity is beyond words. Gasooses who deal with children, especially premature babies are the most amazing people.
I am really glad that I got my hands on this book. Before reading this book, I didn’t have any idea about the gasman. But now, I know a lot about him. It’s a must read book. Really thankful to the author for sharing all the information in this book from his experience, observations, etc. The quotes mentioned in the chapters are worth knowing. I really loved the writing style of the author. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.
