“The Past We Step Into” is a drama fiction penned by the author Richard Scharine. The first story is “SATURDAY NIGHT IN FRONT OF THE IGA”. In this, the narrator shares about his ancestors and how people of coming generations were named based on ancestors’ names. His ancestors migrated from Ireland to the United States to see the promised land, a sort of floating Statue of Liberty.
I loved the Tale of Tears story too. In this, the narrator described his first born child Annie who was a verbally receptive child initially and later she became more and more lost. Karl was brought into the world by Lynne and the narrator. Grab a copy of this book and read it yourself to know the entire story yourself.
I also found my name Monika in the story Rumspringa. There are various characters and generations in the stories that readers will get to meet. The title of the book is appropriate according to the content of the book. Cover photo is nice. The story feels so realistic. I was totally hooked into this book while reading. Pace of the stories are neither slow nor too rushed. It’s a great book for weekend binge reading.
