“Speak-A-Boo: Glimpse into Toddler’s Brains as They Learn to Walk to Talk” penned by the author Dr Neeraj Suri is a great book and it will help many parents of children who have hearing impairment. A parent of an hearing impaired child struggles through various phases. Amongst it, first one is the denial. Parents fear what society gonna comment on their child. They also develop the fear of giving birth to another child with hearing impairment.
For the first time, I have read a book that gives glimpse into toddler’s mind. This journey is not at all easy for parents. But they can make their journey easy by discussing about it with other parents who are/have been in their shoes.
Cover photo of the book looks nice. It is an insightful read and one should mark the important points for quick reference in future. Language of the book is simple. Even if one is not an avid reader, he/she could understand well what author has discussed in this book. It’s a worth reading book that author has written from her experience.
