“Driving in the Rain” is a memoir written by the author Nadia Bruce-Rawlings. Nadia has shared about her life in this book. She is a daughter of an oil executive who used to abuse her mother after consuming alcohol. Her mother protected her kids and given them love, joy but was also suffering from her depression at the same time. Nadia has lived the life of leisure and luxury. Money wasn’t an issue for her because her dad was just a call away.

In the 80’s after moving to LA, she got involved in cocaine and champagne. In Aug, 1994 her mother died in a cancer
clinic in Playas de Tijuana, Mexico. For years after, the death of her mother shook her to the core and she found it difficult to sleep. She has shared about how she was cheated by Howard while buying house.

Language used in the book is simple. Readers will be easily able to understand the story and the writing is amazing. I could feel connected to Nadia’s story and the feelings she has expressed in her story. Cover photo of the book is nice with a lovely title. Nadia’s story is worth reading. It will inspire other addicts to walk on the path of recovery. So, don’t miss to read this book at all.
