“Casanova: There is Love After the Pain” written by the author Gareth Mayers is the first installment in Dark Love Anthology series. Casanova is an Intel agent who was sold to Galactic Task Force by his mother after he was born because his mother couldn’t make the ends meet by herself. Casanova and another guy Malcom has a complicated relationship. They try to outdo each other and sleep with as many woman as possible.
Once he and Malcom got into a fight and as a result, Casanova was sent to home world, Midocen, in the
Servanis System which was part of the Hilantation
Sector. He instead headed to his hometown Kaitlin. Even though Intel agents are not supposed to meet their family, Casanova has come to visit his mother. If Malcom or anyone will know this, they will kill his mother. Later, he was kidnapped by a Jinx. He was also stalked by her and the Jinx is also aware about Casanova’s mind tricks power. Why Jinx has kidnapped him? What does she want from Casanova? Find out what happens next in the story yourself.
Plot of the story is packed with full actions and kept me on the edge. World building is unique and I appreciate author’s vivid imagination. Language of the book is lucid so I was able to follow the story easily. It’s a dark story. Please be advised that there is mature content in the story so it is recommended only for adult readers. Looking forward to read next book by the author.
