“How Zoe Made Friends” is a Children’s Book written by the author Jarred Stanton and illustrated by Elsa Achu. Zoe has moved to a new place with her family. She and her brother Xylin will go to new school and she is afraid of that. When she was in Kindergarten, it was Quinn, her best friend who talked to her first. Then, other kids also started talking to Zoe and she didn’t have to struggle to make friends.
But now in new school, she is afraid that people may not accept her the way she is. Her face is a mix of white and brown color. Zoe’s mother and brother told her that she doesn’t have to worry because if someone don’t like her then it’s their problem and not hers. Will Zoe be able to make friends at new school?
This is an interesting story that teaches kids to “believe in yourself”. Our differences makes us unique. Language of the book is lucid and cover photo is nice. Story plot is interesting and children will enjoy this story surely. It is a short and quick read that one could finish in a single sitting.
