The Snowman of Nalanda is the debut novel of the author Roshan. Main character of the story is Bidyasagar. Once he was a merciless hunter and a dacoit. He killed a monk thinking that he is the rich merchant who has dressed as a monk. In the monk’s bag, he found books and pages of verses but he was expecting gold coins in it. Later, he started reading those books and verses. He got curious to know more about Siddhartha.
From a note, Bidyasagar got to know that the monk was going to the Nalanda Monastery, one of the greatest centre of learning in medieval times. He started his journey to Nalanda Monastery. But unfortunately, after reaching there he failed the test, so he wasn’t allowed entry into the monastery. He decided that one day he would come back to Nalanda after he had learnt more.
This book also discussed about how man, creation of nature is destroying the nature i.e. creator itself. Get to know why nature has invented yetis. This is a nice story to read. Author has done great job in his debut novel. Language of the book is quite easy and I like to recommend this book to beginners. Cover photo is very cute and storyline is interesting overall.
