“A Song For Ghosts” is the first novel of the author Manja Siber. It is set in 1848. It is a captivating story starting from the struggles of the protagonist who go to Dresden as a new singer to build confidence in his singing. Even though, Garvanos didn’t want to go to Dresden but he didn’t have any choice. So, here he is in front of Royal Court Theatre.
Garvanos is very well aware of the fact that life in Dresden won’t be easy for him. Being a gypsy, German and many other factors can make this Milan boy to struggle. His encounter with Ivan who is a singer with wonderful voice can make his chances to do well in Dresden. Everyone needs a good coach/mentor. Is Ivan the one for Garvanos?
Grab a copy of this book right away and enjoy the story yourself. Author has put great thought in creating a captivating world in this novel. Language of the book is lucid with remarkable narration. Character development is nice. Since the pace of the story is fine so I wasn’t bored at any point.
