The Miner’s Return is the first book in the Gavenstone Mine Series written by the author Lisa Freed. Gavenstone Mine ended in 1839 when the mine suddenly caved in and forty eight miners were dead and many were injured. In 21st century, Kat Gavenstone met Tristan Davies and she got shocked when she heard his name because Tristan was one of the miner that died in the mine collapse. How can he be still working on mine after approx 200 years?
When Kat asked Tristan to prove that he works at a mine, he pulled out the company scrips from his pocket and handed them to Kat. These scrips he has received from Harry Gavenstone. Kat was doing a research for the book and she told Tristan that it is 21st century and the Gavenstone mine has been closed for close to two hundred years. Read the story to know more.
The story is written very well. Plot is unique and much interesting. I enjoyed this book fully. Language of the book is easy to understand and the narrative is smooth. Kat and Tristan are my favorite characters from the book. I am definitely looking forward to read more books by the author.
