Yahya in Charge written by the author Eman Kanaani is a story based on real life events of her son Yahya, right from his birth to three years. This is the story of Yahya who has rare genetic syndrome named Charge. Due to this Yahya has disabilities of swallowing, nose breathing, balancing, hearing and seeing well.
He has tracheostomy, glasses, cochlear and feeding tube. As Yahya was growing, he learnt to interact with his loved ones using sign language. A child teaches so much to his/her family members. Yahya taught many things to his parents because he is a determined kid.
The story is written in the form of a comic book. It motivates the readers to be kind, curious and happy. This book is written well and it is a unique book in the way it is presented in a comic story form. Cover page of the book could have been more apt. Language is easy to understand. This book inspire the readers to stay happy even in difficult situations. Needless to say, sending my lots of blessings for Yahya.
