I have picked up the book “Pokhran” by author Uday Singh. The story talks about the nuclear test, Smiling Buddha that happened in Pokhran in Year 1974.
And because of the fallout of the nuclear test, a lot of people suffered. But no one wants to talk about it and prefer to stay quiet. The media does not want to talk about the issue, the politics come into play too. The voice of common people is unheard.
The character of Chaitanya who had physical disabilities is very well developed in the story. Without a doubt he is inspiration for all and is courageous. The author have talked about various topics like racism, religion, democracy etc.
In this book you will read about the other social issues faced by India. This book is Priceless as it gives you a lot more knowledge, I just hooked into it and cannot keep the book down. The author have done a commendable job in writing it down.
This book is full of information, facts and knowledge. Go for it and thank me later š
