The protagonist of the story is Wyatt Barlow who was born in 1860 and was a part of Civil War generation. He has woke up after one hundred and twenty two years. He found a diary in his pocket with a date written as 1898 but when he is in the bar, he saw a date on the newspaper it is the year 2020 now. He recognizes his doppelganger Travis Barlow.
He left his family in 1898 when he came to Alaska for a gold rush. He was frozen as ice for long time and have waken up today in the generation of his great great grandson Travis.
The timeline of the story moves from present to the flashbacks of 1898. Wyatt’s connection to Travis family and his flashbacks of his own family in 1898 made the story much interesting.
The story is well written and I liked the writing style of the author. The plot of the story is much intriguing and I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. Overall it’s a great story that I will definitely recommend to my fellow readers.
