Hungry Hearts is a contemporary romance fiction and Young Adult novel written by the author Julie Hoag. It is the debut work of the author. The protagonist of the story is a girl named Landra who was suffering from Anorexia i.e. eating disorder. The story is based on the real life experience of the author with this disease in her teen years.
The story is about Landra finding and falling in love in the most unexpected way. It also shows the importance of family and friends in one’s life. It gives a message to readers of not judging others as nobody is perfect.
I recommend it to contemporary romance and young adult genre fans. Cover page of the book is amazing and title is nice and related to the contents of the story. Before reading this book, I wasn’t aware of any disease related to eating disorders. I am glad that this book enriched my knowledge about it.
