Alice Bennett travelled to Jasper, Georgia to take care of her injured mother-in-law. She is married to a Southern Gentleman Will. Will’s mom Mae Bennett didn’t have any memory of falling. But it was believed that she has got cuts and bruises from hitting the stone steps on the porch.
Will also has a sibling Margaret with whom his relationship was not good. Margaret was taking care of her mom in Jasper but when Alice went there, Margaret has to go back to Atlanta for work. As Alice stayed in Jasper, she discovered the ugly secrets about her husband’s past and the family. Read the entire story yourself to know what happens.
Story is intriguing and written well. Language of the book is smooth and clear. The story about dark family secrets and small town Southern life hooked my interest. I am looking forward to read more books from the author.
