The Fires Above is the debut novel by the author Che Geofroy. The book is written in four parts with each part having few chapters. The flame is the God now. Lightkeepers are born from it with a purpose to make sure that the Original Flame doesn’t die.
The Flame makes us pure.
The chosen keep the Flame alive.
We allow the chosen to be born.
Our ashes give birth to a new Flame.
Our souls; a new Keeper.
Our efforts; a new world.
We live, we die, we exist, all for the Flame.
Be advised that book contains strong topics like violence, rape, suicide, etc. Cover page and title of the book is nice and related to the contents of the story. The language of the book is little hard at some points so I have to re-read those sections. But I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author and the intriguing story.
