“The Earth’s Cure” written by the author Maxwell Upper is the first installment in the Empyrean book series. Earth was a wonderful planet but there was a lack of unity. Anyone from outside could come and jack our planet. The year 2130 was the year of defeat for the humans. Earth was invaded by monsters on January 5th. These monsters are known as Exaltier; the beings from the worlds beyond our own who came for Earth.
Exaltier has powers much stronger than humans. Their supernatural abilities put them quite ahead of the humans. After 600 long years, humans earned victory. Leonidas is the main character of the story. He doesn’t have many friends at school . He lives with his Gramps and sister. Leo usually keeps to himself and doesn’t get involved much with anyone. He is often called stupid by others. This made Leo hate himself. One day, his Gramps beat him hard. Read this story to know what will happen next.
This is a short story that one could read in a single sitting. I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author in creating this world. The language used in the book is lucid and I was able to follow the story easily. Sci-fi fans who enjoy short stories should definitely get their hands on this one. Looking forward to reading the next book by the author.
