“Short Stories” penned by the authors Chris McDonald and Clifford L Crenshaw is a gripping read.

“A Fateful Visit” is a story about Caturday and Feather. Feather was the expert of Who-Mans worldwide. She wanted to raise awareness about poor little creatures. Caturday offered a partnership opportunity which Feather gladly accepted. They formed the amazing Caturdayโ€™s Cafe and Who-Man Adoption Center! Read this story to know will their business be successful.

“Peete meets Pierre” is another short story about Peete who arrived at Van Grow Culinary College in Amsterdam. By looking at Peete, others were wondering where this knucklehead had come from. Pierre realized that Peete was hurt and befriended him. This story teaches us to be welcoming to new people.

The stories are gripping and easy to follow. The narration is smooth and strong. One can enjoy a couple of stories in a single sitting. These stories pulled me inside the fictional world. The writing style of the authors is amazing. Those who are looking for an escape from their monotonous life should dive into this book and read adventurous stories. I am delighted to read this book and would like to recommend it to short stories lovers.

Book Review: Life In Different Colors by Pratik P Sharda

Book Review: Life in Different Colors

Author: Pratik P Sharda

My Rating: 4/5

Format: Kindle

Life In Different Colors is a collection of Short Stories. These stories are unique and even leave a long lasting impact on reader’s heart. This book shows that life is not what we just experience and people are not just what we see. There is more to people behind what they choose to show to others.

Out of these stories collection, my favorite story is “Love At First Sight“. I myself believe in the concept that “Love has no age limit“. This is really a nice and cute love story. In this Vasudev Sharma, an old man was sitting in the porch of his house with his best friend Sukhdev Verma. A truck came in front of their house followed by an auto. It was of their new neighbors. Vasudev’s eyes fell on a lady in old sixties who came out from the auto. Her name was Madhuvanti. Vasudev fell in love at first sight with her. She looked like the actress Saira Banu to him.ย

One day Vasudev gathered the guts and asked Madhu ji, do you like me? Grab a copy of this book and read yourself whether Madhuvanti said yes or got frustrated. Each story will take not more than half an hour to finish it. The language of the book is lucid and one can read these stories in short breaks between work or while traveling also.

Stories Of Us by Bobby Sachdeva

Book: Stories Of Us

Author: Bobby Sachdeva

Format: Paperback

Publisher: Pan Macmillan India

Book Length: 254 pages

My Rating: 4.5/5

Stories Of Us by Bobby Sachdeva is a collection of 41 short stories. These stories are based on the common man and therefore we can totally relate to them. I really loved the story based on Notebandi, Ummidein โ€“ A Life Of Desires and The Third Gender especially.

One should definitely read these short stories. In this book, in the voice of a common man, the author questions our everyday practices in an unorthodox manner. These stories collection has inspired me to rethink the values that has been long etched in our belief system. This is an interesting read. You will find many relatable incidents. These stories are really thought provoking. I finished reading all the 41 stories in 3 sittings. I recommend this book to all those who loves to read stories on a common man.
