🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
A Fall of Ashes written by the author James Steinhaus is the first installment in the “In the Service of Evil” Book series. The main character of the story is a fifteen-year-old Ashes. One day, her mother sent her to Cold Forks to get the thread. Ashes had three suitors and Corin Hammers was one of them.

When he heard about Ashes going to Cold Forks for thread, he told her that he needed to get nails from there and it would be best if they could go together. On the way, Corin raped her and her dress wasn’t there when two other men saw her. It became an act of stripping in public. Case Ironknife has already registered her as his legal property. A witch who took Ashes with her gave her an offer to be her apprentice. However, Ashes has to pass the test to become her apprentice. Read this story to know what would happen next.

The cover photo of the book is well designed. The pace of the story is fine and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading this book. The writing style of the author is nice. James has written a gripping story. I loved the plot. The characters are well written. This story will stay in my mind for a long time. Add it to your tbr now.
