I love reading educational children’s books to my little ones. This time, I read “Little Money Makers: 5-10 Year Olds” to them. The story revolves around the four kids, Alex, Dax, Tor and Katerina. They started a discussion about money while playing soccer.

When Katerina asked the boys “What do you do with your money?” She received different answers. Tor likes to spend, Dax likes to invest and Alex likes to save. So, Katerina suggested that they invest a bit, save a bit and spend a bit. This made Tor wonder isn’t investing and saving the same thing?

Grab your hands on this educational read to find out what the boys will learn about money and from whom? This book inspired me to start the financial education of my kids at a young age. I loved the authors’ idea to start the young ones’ financial journey with a piggy bank.

“Every Ornament Has Its Place” penned by the author Vincent Verrico and illustrated by Marcus Williams is a great read. The main character of the story is an eight-year-old boy named Matthew who couldn’t find his mouse in the rocket ship ornament, the night the Christmas tree was brought home.

Matt’s older brothers started decorating the Christmas tree with the ornaments they had. However, after seeing Matt worried, his dad announced that they won’t put any other ornament on the tree until they find Matt’s favorite ornament.

Read this story to know will Matt’s family be successful in finding his favorite Christmas ornament. This story teaches kids about the true spirit of Christmas. Kids will learn the importance of family and seeking loved ones’ help in times of need. I had a great time reading this wonderful book.

However, despite his love for learning, Bob dreads going to school because of a bully named Brutus. Brutus regularly picks on him, especially during his walk home, calling him hurtful names. Feeling helpless, Bob opens up to his mother and admits he wishes he had a bodyguard to protect him from Brutus.

Will Bob find a way to stand up to the bully and enjoy school again, or will he continue surrendering his lunch money? You’ll have to read the book to find out!

This story is not only entertaining but also meaningful. The author’s use of humor adds charm, and the simple, accessible language makes it an excellent read-aloud for classrooms. It offers a great opportunity to start conversations about bullying and how to deal with it. I look forward to exploring more books by Harry Binnendyk.
