“Stories Written Along COVID Walls” written by the author Melissa R. Mendelson takes the readers down the memory lane to the days of the pandemic.

“Meeting with Tomorrow” is a story about a group of people who are waiting to talk to a therapist. During the pandemic, they have lost their loved ones and seen horrible sides of the people. Those who were in need of help didn’t get any. This made people worried about the kind of future we would be having.

“At the Orange Light” is a story about a man named Ben who is quite old and a woman named Valerie who is in her forties. The virus has affected their lives. Val was told that she couldn’t have a kid and Ben knew that he would pass away soon. Val wanted to have a kid of her own but she realized it quite late that she was in a toxic relationship. Would Ben survive?

These stories reminded me of the painful time of the pandemic. I have seen my known people passing away in COVID. It hurts to think about those who had lost a loved one because of this virus for which nobody was prepared. The writing style of the author is nice. Anyone could relate to these stories easily as we all have been victims of the pandemic.

“Altered Existence” written by the author April Simons is an interesting read. The main character of the story is Korie. She is the second oldest daughter of her father. Korie’s dad is a father of five girls. Since the time they were toddlers, his dad had trained them to be self-sufficient and prepared for any situation. Korie has learned a lot from her dad. 

She wanted to be trained more but the unexpected things happened and her family’s world turned upside down. When Korie’s mother and sister didn’t return to Haven one day, her dad left in search of them. He searched for them for a month but no luck. He left the Haven again and hasn’t returned since then. Korie has been in command since then and has taken all the responsibilities of Haven on her shoulders along with her friend Dean. 

Read this story to know will Korie be successful in keeping her world safe? This is an interesting story. It’s an unputdownable book and I enjoyed every bit of it. The writing style of the author is nice and the title of the book is suitable. I am definitely interested in reading more books by the author.

“Tangle with Fire” written by the author Theresa Gage is the first installment in the Flame Series. The main character of the story is a fifteen-year-old boy named Aidan. He wanted to learn warrior skills like his elder brother. Aidan’s father promised to teach him warrior skills if he learns to hunt first. When his father took him for a hunting lesson, he was stabbed in the back by a hooded figure.

The king is dead now and Aidan feels like he lost his mentor and his hero. After his father’s death, Aidan learned about his special powers. If he would have known about them earlier, he could have saved his father’s life. Read this story to know how Aidan learns to manage his powers. How will things go without a king?

The story is intriguing and hooked my attention until the last page. The writing style of the author is amazing and the cover photo looks nice. The characters are written well by the author and I loved Aidan’s character the most. Those who love reading fantasy stories should definitely get their hands on this book.

“Nature Unveiled: 40 Reflections on Experiencing God’s Creation” is a must read book written by the author and former forester Jill Smith. In this book, the author has shared her story about her love for nature and how during pregnancy she sought God. The author received clear connections between nature and the Word of God.

Jill has mentioned how nature is in the backdrop of our world because of the busy lifestyle but we need to bring nature’s beauty into the foreground of our lives. ‘Faithfulness Heartwood’ is my favorite reflection from this book. It suggests we journal so we can record our history with God. In moments of despair, we can read our cries for help and His response. We will realize that He is always faithful to us.

‘Direction Trail Hike’ reminds us to have faith in God during challenging times. It tells us that God allows obstacles but He accompanies us on the path. So, in difficult times, we shouldn’t worry too much. Instead, we should take comfort as we know that God is always with us.

This book is a beautiful read. I am glad to get my hands on this book. The way the author has connected nature with the Words of God is impressive. This book deepens your faith in God. I was too worried about the things that aren’t happening in my life but this book reminded me to be patient as God’s plan is and would be the best for my life.

This is a well written book. I strongly recommend this book to everyone. Spiritual readers would be glad to get their hands on this book. The title of the book is suitable and the cover photo is eye-catching.

“The Forbidden Fruit” written by the author Tina Scott is a true story of Sex, Drugs, and the Afterlife. In this book, the author has shared about her life since childhood. After college, Tina got married. Her first husband was the love of her life. After ten years of togetherness, it ended up in divorce leaving Tina as a single mother of three children. 

When Tina met Steve, he also had his three children. They got married and raised six kids. Steve was with Tina for twenty-two years. He lost his life because of the stomach ulcers that deteriorated his condition every passing day. Tina is a spiritual person with her belief in God. Even though Steve didn’t believe in her spiritual concepts earlier, he started accepting God later in life. 

After Steve, Tina was alone and went on a solo trip to Nepal. Read this story to get a sneak peak into the author’s life and learn from her experiences. The writing style of the author is raw and she has shared the honest account of her life with the readers. 

Those who love reading memoirs should definitely get their hands on this book. It took me on a rollercoaster ride full of various emotions.

“Fostering Love: A Glimpse into Foster Care” written by the author Kathleen Paydo is an insightful read. The author has explained the different types of foster care. It’s important for us to understand the foster child’s point of view. A child who comes to foster care not only loses his surroundings but his parents and siblings as well. Such children go through post-traumatic stress disorder.

The author has explained about her foster care career with her husband Ron. Like others, I used to think that foster care means the children need to be kept forever. This book broadened my mind about foster care. The author has also fostered sibling groups. The behavior of traumatized and non-traumatized children are different and they bring their own challenges. One could work directly with the foster children’s family as it proves to be more rewarding.

This is a well written book that has enhanced my understanding of the foster care system and the needs of the children in foster care. Those who want to become foster parents or are curious to know how the foster system works can read this book. It is an informative read. I appreciate all the insights shared by the author in this book. The author has shared various real stories in the book to explain us well about the foster system. I am glad to read this book. The practical strategies shared by the author would be definitely helpful.

“Whatever Happened to Emmeline?” written by the author Nicole Schubert is an interesting read. The main character of the story is Clara and her husband Seamus. Clara is nearly thirty years old and Seamus is forty-five. However, the age difference between them has never been an issue at all. She was constantly haunted by the recurring dream of her being trapped in a coffin. After a couple of miscarriages, Clara was affected emotionally a lot. That impacted her work too. 

After her third miscarriage, Seamus wants her to go to a summer lake house so they can have some change. Seamus hasn’t been to a lakehouse for the past thirty years. Clara started getting asthma since she met Seamus. During a session with Dr. Goldberg, Clara and the Dr. started figuring out when did the asthma begin and why? 

Seamus gets angry at the mention of his brother Derek and Clara could read it on his face. When Clara asked him what happened thirty years ago, Seamus didn’t want to discuss the matter. Read the story to know will Clara get to know what exactly happened in the past. 

The writing style of the author is nice. The story is interesting and it kept me hooked until the last page. The characters are written well by the author. The pace of the story is fine and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading it. The author has done a fantastic job in this book and I had a great time reading it. I am definitely interested in reading more books by the author.

“The Earth’s Cure” written by the author Maxwell Upper is the first installment in the Empyrean book series. Earth was a wonderful planet but there was a lack of unity. Anyone from outside could come and jack our planet. The year 2130 was the year of defeat for the humans. Earth was invaded by monsters on January 5th. These monsters are known as Exaltier; the beings from the worlds beyond our own who came for Earth.

Exaltier has powers much stronger than humans. Their supernatural abilities put them quite ahead of the humans. After 600 long years, humans earned victory. Leonidas is the main character of the story. He doesn’t have many friends at school . He lives with his Gramps and sister. Leo usually keeps to himself and doesn’t get involved much with anyone. He is often called stupid by others. This made Leo hate himself. One day, his Gramps beat him hard. Read this story to know what will happen next.

This is a short story that one could read in a single sitting. I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author in creating this world. The language used in the book is lucid and I was able to follow the story easily. Sci-fi fans who enjoy short stories should definitely get their hands on this one. Looking forward to reading the next book by the author.

“The Legend of Circe: Circe’s Awakening” written by the author Leonard Kearon MSc is an intriguing read. The story is set in the city of Sunsport that is situated on the South-East coast of Hibernia. The Cybertrix Sphere, a powerful robotic empire, has plans to take over Sunsport. When Sunsport was attacked by aliens, the Sunsport heroes and Circe helped in saving one child. 

Circe’s dad David was concerned when he saw his daughter firing energy blasts from her hands. The Department of Superpowers and Heroics learnt about Circe’s superpowers and sent her a meeting invitation. Professor Fargo Jones took her to Sunsport Super School where she could be trained to use her powers. Circe and her father got to know that her power has come from some Divine Source. Circe has these powers for a special purpose. What is it?

Read the story yourself to know what happens next. The storyline is interesting and this book is a perfect escape from reality for a few hours. I enjoyed the plot and the amazing writing style of the author. The character of Circe is my favourite. The story is well paced and readers won’t feel like putting this book down until the last page. This book is a must read by middle grade fantasy fiction lovers.

“The Daedalus Mission” written by the author Dietmar Arthur Wehr is the first book in “A Battle For Mars” book series. The story features two companies: SpaceX and Bifrost-S. In the year 2029, SpaceX astronauts are about to enter orbit around Mars. Starship Alpha is losing methane very slowly so the ship would have enough fuel to enter a stable orbit around Mars but not enough to land safely. 

Therefore, SpaceX asks Bifrost-S to have a piloted Daedalus ready to fly to Mars to rendezvous with Alpha, take the astronauts on board, then bring them back home. The problem is D-1 isn’t ready for a manned mission in early August. However, SpaceX is stubborn about it. Konrad volunteered to pilot Daedalus One. Read the story to know what plan the team would finalize. What would happen when they get to know that the Chinese are planning to land on Mars too. 

The story is interesting and it kept me on the edge of my seat. The writing style of the author is amazing. The characters are well developed. The twists and turns in the story kept the tension high throughout the book. I enjoyed every bit of this book.

Sci-fi and techno thriller fans would be delighted to read this book. I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author in the world building.
