🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“No Turning Back” is an action adventure/fantasy short story written by the author Christopher Kelly. The story features a young man named Peter James who wants to become a successful writer. Once, he saw a woman named Jenny in a town called Kingfisher Grove. Jenny told Peter that her father was a magician. He was working on a spell and he accidentally brought back to life the dead spirits of the Zanda brotherhood.

Jenny told Peter that three men are chasing her. Two of them are trained hitmen and the third one is Master Ruthless. Peter didn’t believe Jenny’s story. Later, when Peter saw Master Ruthless taking Jenny hostage, he realized she was telling the truth. Jenny gave a piece of paper to Peter which had a part of a spell. To destroy Master Ruthless, they need to complete the spell. Read this story to know if Peter’s friend Nick Turner could help him in completing the spell. Would Jenny be released?

The story is gripping with an amazing backdrop setting. I enjoyed the characters of Peter and Jenny. The pace of the story is fine. Since it’s a short story, one could finish it in a single sitting. Christopher has done great work in this book and I am looking forward to reading more books by him. Those who love reading short stories or fantasy should definitely get their hands on this book.

“The Hidden Crown” written by the author K.E. Blair is the first installment in The Return of Magic book series. The main character of the story is a servant named Anslee. She is in a magic-less kingdom where her every move is controlled by the chef Magda. Anslee isn’t happy as Magda gives her the task to cut root vegetables for hours every Sunday.

Anslee is young. She loves buying ribbons and is always on a lookout for a good suitor. She feels lucky when Magda takes her for vegetable shopping. She uses this opportunity to search for a suitor for her. When she was window shopping at the Madam’s Dressing Gown, she met a mage named Lord Avery Varrock. Anslee is afraid of mages as they can be dangerous. Why has Lord Avery sent a purple gown to Anslee?

Read this story to find out what happens next. The story is written well by the author. The characters are well developed. Anslee’s character is my most favorite. The world building is impressive. 🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“Better Off Here” written by the author Melissa R. Mendelson is a collection of dystopian short stories.

November Snow is a story that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story features a man in an extra-large gray hoodie. He was waiting for the bus. Once during Thanksgiving, his niece caught a snowflake on her tongue. She was the first family member to go because of the incurable disease. The man hopes to have a cure of this disease one day.

“The Quiet Room” is another interesting story in which the souls are brought and kept. The narrator works here as a staffer by looking at the paperwork. He isn’t supposed to ask any questions. Will the narrator be safe there?

These stories are interesting and spooky at the same time. The stories are unique. One could read a couple of stories in a single sitting. The language used in the book is easy to follow. The author’s narration is smooth. The title of the book is suitable for its content. I had a great time reading this book. I am definitely interested in exploring more books by the author.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
Shooting Stars penned by the author Skye Bothma is a book that fits my reading taste perfectly. Catherine Marshall and Jake Donovan are the main characters of the story. Catherine is a receptionist and is not a big fan of her job. She was in a long-term relationship with David. They had a plan to go to Hawaii together. When Catherine found that David had betrayed her by getting involved with another woman, they had a breakup.

With a broken heart, Catherine took the trip to Hawaii alone. A renowned actor, Jake Donovan needed an escape after work. He also visited Hawaii. There, he met Catherine. As love starts to spark between them, will it last longer?

Read this story to find out if they are meant to be together or their paths crossed for some purpose. The characters of both Jake and Catherine are my favorite from the book. I could relate myself to the character of Catherine a lot. As someone with self-doubt and being afraid to pursue my dreams, I could totally feel Catherine’s character. The story is well paced and I enjoyed every bit of this book. This story inspired me to visit Hawaii soon.

The author has done great work in her debut novel. Those who enjoy contemporary romance should definitely get their hands on this book.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“A Guiding Light: Navigating abuse, alcoholism, addiction and love” written by the author Dale Preston is a great autobiography. In this book, the author has mentioned about sex, drugs, alcohol, love, abuse, loss, etc.

Dale was introduced to smoking marijuana when he was seven years old. In his formative years, his parents separated. At the same time, Dale was abused physically and sexually. He developed a smoking habit as a result. Things got uglier when Dale’s mother had an extramarital affair. During a fight between his mother and father, Dale’s mother used him as a shield as his dad wouldn’t harm him.

The author’s world turned upside down when his father passed away. When Dale consumed too much Cannabinol, his mother stepped over him and walked away. This made him feel his mother’s emotional detachment towards him. Read this book to know how Dale found recovery.

I appreciate the author for sharing his journey with us. This book gives hope and inspiration to readers that they can turn their life around. The cover photo of the book is nice. The writing style of the author is easy to follow. It’s great to see how the author is taking out time to help others. I am glad to read Dale’s journey. I strongly recommend it to my fellow readers.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
The Reflex written by the author Maria Denison is the first book in The Reflex Book Series. The main character of the story is Cara. She is married to a handsome husband Nic. Cara and Nic are the parents of a teenager: Max and Mia. They are twins. Dealing with two teenagers seems like a lot of work to Cara. Jinx is Cara’s friend. They were roommates in Washington, DC for ten years. After Jinx, Cara came to Cleveland.

Cara’s best friend Connor Mitchell Reed is the Director of the CIA. He knows Cara more than Nic. While working at the agency, Cara was misunderstood by many colleagues. They used to think that Cara gets favors from Reed and she sleeps with him. Nic doesn’t like Reed to be around Cara but over the years, he has accepted the fact that he is Cara’s best friend and would stay in her life. Read this story to know about Cara’s work as a spy.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“All I See are Dark Clouds” is an intriguing read that hooks the readers until the last page. The story features a paranormal character i.e. a vampire who was killed by another vampire Marc. The protagonist wants to kill Marc for taking her human life.

When there was a mess going on, the protagonist killed her best friend Nadine instead of someone else. She now regrets this a lot. She couldn’t forgive herself for what she had done. She couldn’t reverse her actions. The trauma of killing a friend stayed with her and she has been attending sessions for peace and healing.

Also, as a punishment, the protagonist starved herself of human blood and has been living on animal blood. The character of Cammie is depressing but one would have a great time reading this book.

The author has written a gripping story. It involves wolf characters too. The backdrop setting is nice and the language is lucid. The title of the story is perfectly suitable. I had a great time reading this book. I strongly recommend it to my fellow readers.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
I love reading stories with many characters. Sarah Parnell’s “Daughter of the Mountain” is a captivating read. The book hooked my attention from the beginning until the last page. Effie Bilfrey is the mother of many children. She lives in Talon Ridge with her many kids. When her daughter Sarah was a year old, a local witch told her to keep an eye on her daughter Sarah.

Effie didn’t know that Sarah would leave everything behind, even her daughter Lottie. Sarah’s younger brother Curtis used to think that Sarah would never leave him. But later, Curtis realized that Sarah hasn’t only left him but also her own daughter Lottie. Even though Sarah’s other siblings, especially Frank, weren’t that loving, Curtis loved his niece Lottie. Lottie sometimes feels hatred for her mother for abandoning her. Like other kids at school, she wanted her mother to be there for her to hear her secrets, braid her hair, etc.

As Lottie grows up, she isn’t very happy in Talon Ridge. She wanted to leave this place and wanted to unfold the secrets about her mother’s disappearance. Grab your hands on this book to find out the truth. The twists and turns in the story made it more interesting. The story is well paced and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading it. The characters are written nicely by the author. Add this book to your tbr without any second thoughts.
