“Do not give your past the power to define your future”.

Many of us have a bad past and so does the author Lisa Jo Symonds. The Hands That Held Me is about the personal journey of the author through childhood trauma. Life was rough for Lisa in her childhood.

At the age of fifteen years, she got pregnant. Lisa was almost six months pregnant when she got to know about it. In 2018, she drained every penny she had on drugs. But the good thing is after that she started her healing journey.

Lisa is so bold to share her journey with everyone. Her aim is to help others who are in pain due to some bad addiction and wants to get rid of it. The writing style of the author is amazing. She has even included her pictures related to different incidents. This is an amazing non-fiction and I recommend my fellow readers to pick this book and explore the journey of author.

The Farm From Anywhere is a fantasy novel by the author M.R. Alger. The story is about a teenager Phillip Montgomery who was sent to his cousin’s house in King’s Hill to enjoy the summer vacations. Phillip found a messenger bag on the way with so many interesting things in it like The Pink Notebook, old and worn Children’s Book, crayons, markers, dolls, etc.

Phillip thought that this bag must be of some child. Weird things start to happen when Aunt Kath’s car crashed on the way. She checked so many times but it wasn’t getting started. When the mechanic checked, it started immediately. This means it was destined for Phillip to find this messenger bag. The story gets interesting from here and picks pace.

My favourite characters from the book are Phillip, his friend Dan and Fairchild’s daughter Maddie. Teenagers will enjoy this story to the most. I binge read it on the weekend as I couldn’t put it down. The ending of the book is what I loved. I am looking forward to read the sequel of this book.
