The Shadow of Today is the first book in The Shadow Trilogy written by the author AnnTony. The story starts with the main character Elizabeth Stuart waking up in a strange bedroom. She didn’t have any memory of her life and her identity.

From a gorgeous man, who just walked in the room, she got to know that she is in his house and his name is Tyler Reeves. Due to head injury, Tyler found her in an unconscious state and for two days she has been asleep. Read this interesting story as she starts to get flashbacks of her life.

This is a very intriguing story that gripped my attention totally. I enjoyed it more by binge reading it. Cover page and title of the book is according to the story. I enjoyed this book overall and I am eagerly waiting to read next book by the author. Must pick up this one. It’s a promising story.

The Asgardian Exchange is the debut novel by the author Mark E. Bryan. The story is set in Wreathen, Delaware. The protagonist of the story is a teenager Amanda West.

Amanda was so excited to go to the Museum of Natural Disaster in D.C. but her classmate Laurie Geller threw Amanda’s permission slip out of the school bus window. When Amanda told her vice principal Ms Biggs (who is her temporary history teacher) that Lorrie has taken her slip, Ms Biggs didn’t believed Amanda. She asked Amanda to go back to home. Amanda was grounded at home for the suspension she got at school.

When her parents were away for the Winter Festival, Amanda went out with her best friend Jack. When they were making spider snowman, tiny strange blue creatures with horns started to appear. Ms Biggs body got transformed and she referred to Amanda as the Favoured one. What does it mean to be a “Favoured”. Who is inside Ms Biggs body? Grab a copy of this book and read it yourself to unveil the further story. It is an intriguing fantasy story that I enjoyed to the most.

Really curious to read the sequel of this book.

Exhale by the author Sarah Metz is a collection of poems, stories and thought provoking questions about life. Content of the book is based on strength, lessons learnt, caring, anxiety, depression, mirrors, etc.

Writing style of the author is different. Some texts are left aligned, others as centre aligned or right aligned. Below lines are my favorite from the book:

Mirrors
Mirrors are hard
Mirrors are heavy
Mirrors are heartbreaking
And the hardest and heaviest and most heartbreaking thing a mirror can show us… are the truths we are unwilling to face otherwise
The truth that we aren’t as strong as we thought we were
The truth that our lives don’t hold as much meaning as we thought they did…

Cover page of the book is simple and decent. Title of the book is well related to its content. Grab a copy of this book and read it to know why author has named it so. Overall I liked this book and I like to recommend it to my fellow readers.

Since FBI is not doing much, so Sara decided to take revenge of her sister’s murder by herself. Her little sister was found hanging from the same tree around which they had their childhood memories. Will Raven be successful in killing the killer of her sister or something else will happen? Grab a copy of this book and read it yourself to know more.

It is a short read that one can finish in two hours max. Cover page of the book is eye catchy. Language of the book is eye catchy and narrative is so smooth. The storyline is unique and intense and I am definitely looking forward to read the next book in the series.

A Bagful of Kittens Headed To The Lake is a touching story by the author Cathy Carlton Hews. This is the story of the author herself. In this book, she has shared how she cared for her father who was suffering from Alzheimer. Cathy went to New York after high school and life in New York/LA was pretty good for her.

But she came back to her hometown to take care of her dad. She took her dad for dinner. She handled everything from making doctor appointments, making him to take showers, to coordinate the meds. Bella, their health aide has also proved very helpful in taking care of her father. Sometimes she just want to sell the shack and move out with her dad to NY. Read the story to know what all will happen further.

The story is written nicely. Cover page of the book looks nice. This story of love and care is something that you don’t want to miss. Narration is smooth and language is easy to understand. Knowing Cathy’s story was a great experience for me. I recommend it to my fellow readers.

Mor’dresh Call of Darkness is the first book in the Vaal’bara Historical Society. It is a great story by the authors Viktor Strangewayes and Laurence Cromwell. This is the story of Jack and Jill. There are five symbols used in this book to notify the readers about some changes. This book is a blend of multiple genres: fantasy, dark themes, time travel, etc. The book starts with author’s belief in magic and magic coursing through veins. It is written in first person. Jack and Jillian are two main characters. Jack stumbled upon a sword and Jillian eyes fell on the crystal. Read this book to go on a ride to magical world involving time travel.

The writing style of the authors is really amazing. Language of the book is easy and comfortable. Cover page of the book is different. I am really excited to read the next book The First Fall of Lord Marris in the series. I recommend it to my fellow readers for sure.

Gavenstone Mine ended in 1839 when the mine suddenly caved in and forty eight miners were dead and many were injured. In 21st century, Kat Gavenstone met Tristan Davies and she got shocked when she heard his name because Tristan was one of the miner that died in the mine collapse. How can he be still working on mine after approx 200 years?

When Kat asked Tristan to prove that he works at a mine, he pulled out the company scrips from his pocket and handed them to Kat. These scrips he has received from Harry Gavenstone. Kat was doing a research for the book and she told Tristan that it is 21st century and the Gavenstone mine has been closed for close to two hundred years. Read the story to know more.

The story is written very well. Plot is unique and much interesting. I enjoyed this book fully. Language of the book is easy to understand and the narrative is smooth. Kat and Tristan are my favorite characters from the book. I am definitely looking forward to read more books by the author.

The story is written very well with clear and smooth narration. Cover page and the title is apt. Character development is amazing and so is the world building. The twists and turns will keep you turning pages until you will reach the end of the story. Eagerly waiting to read the next book in the series.

I came across a book ‘The Adventures of BIPLOB THE BUMBLEBEE (Volume1)’ written by author Abhishek Talwar which I decided to pick up and read. Without a doubt the cover and the title of the book is really eye-catching!

Biplob a friendly, kind, helpful bee who always think about others and have solutions to all the problems won my heart indeed. One can learn a lot from this book and a lot of important messages we get for the betterment of eco-system around us.

The Biplob bee help the plants in transferring the pollen from one plant to another, the friendly nature with the flowers is just so cute to see. Not only this the bee helped Farmer Balram aware of the rainwater harvesting which helped him to have enough water in the well.

Grab a copy of this book to read about what is a flower show and how the bee helped in order to save the older flowering plants? The illustrations are incredible and made my day absolutely.

The Very Real World of Emily Adams is a dark urban fantasy by the author Samantha Rose. The protagonist of the story is Emily Adams. Emily with broken arm and soul ran away from her officially ex-boyfriend. All she wanted is to go back to her dad and listen to his advice going forward. His dad was right about his ex-boyfriend that he is not good for Emily. Now Emily is homeless and she couldn’t go back to her hometown. Emily’s encounter with Richard aka Rick on the roof made the story more gripping. By seeing Emily, Rick immediately saw the pain in her eyes.

Written in 339 pages although it was a long read but I didn’t realized when it got finished. The story was so intense. The twists and turns in the story made it more interesting. It is a well written story with clear and smooth narrative. Cover of the book is decent and title is also apt.

I highly recommend this book to dark urban fantasy readers. Much excited to read more books by Samantha.
