The Judge Senser is a paranormal short story written by the author Soleah Kenna Sadge. It is the first book in “The Sensers Secret Society” Series. The story is set in Radnor, PA, USA. The story starts with Judge Xavi having a bad Monday morning as Lily didn’t show up at the cafe to buy her coffee.

Xavi always wakes up earlier than expected on weekdays to catch a glimpse of her while she orders her coffee. Lily is accused of robbery and killing someone but judge Xavi thought that it must be some understanding and she should be innocent. Since Xavi couldn’t wait for the police to bring the evidences, he himself went at the crime scene to do the investigation.

Language of the book is easy and comfortable. Narration style of the author is remarkable and seems mature. Plot is intriguing. Characterization was stunning throughout the book. Pace of the story was fine. Since it’s a short story, it is of twenty eight pages only.

I am looking forward to read the next story “The Executioner” from the author.

Hinterland is the first book that I have read written by the author L. M. Brown. The protagonist of the story is Nicholas Giovanni. He is a taxi driver and a husband of Kathleen. Nicholas’s wife Kathleen was not well and Nicholas do all the work like making breakfast for his daughter Kate, getting her ready for school, etc. His wife Kathleen keep on missing her appointments with the doctor. Ina is Nicholas’s neighbor and they were childhood friend. Nicholas last met Ina at his mother’s funeral six years ago. Ina is now Nicholas’s sister-in-law.

Years back, Nicholas saw her with Stefano and she moved across country with him. After his mother’s death, Nicholas moved back and started driving taxi just like his father. Ina told him about ending her twelve years of marriage and getting a divorce. When Kathleen got to know that Ina is getting divorce, it was a shock for her. She started considering what is the story about Nicholas and Ina. Kathleen even asked Nicholas not to go to Ina’s house ever. Read the further story to know what will happen ultimately.

The storyline is interesting. Language of the book is easy to understand. Cover page of the book could have been more creative. Nicholas love for his daughter is something sweet. The pace of the book is slow. It is an emotional drama story. If you love reading such stories then go ahead with this book.

Nova is the first novel that I have read written by the author Amber Williamson. The story is set in a small town of Rosewood. It’s a town that has only one road in and out of this town so you can imagine how small it is. The protagonist of the story are Nova Winters and Jake Tyler. They grew up together as childhood sweethearts. Everything was alright between the two before freshman year.

But since the freshman year, Nova started to ignore Jake and he didn’t know why. Jake tried many times to talk to Nova but she didn’t open up. One day, she bid goodbye to Jake and went away. Later, Jake found the first notecard that seems to be from Nova. Why Nova has left and where? What does she mean by “help me and this town”? Read this intriguing story to get answers to all your questions.

This is an interesting story that will grip your attention. The plot of the book is constructed very well. Characters are also well developed and introduced. Cover page of the book is simple and title is short and sweet. This is the kind of book that you can read in two sittings. Amazing story that made my day.

“Seems Like Smooth Sailing” by the author Sam Catling is a comedy memoir about the ups and downs of working on-board a cruise ship as an entertainer. The introduction itself caught my attention. There was a point in my life when I felt that I am achieving nothing by working so hard. So, I felt relatable and got much interested to read the book further. Sam was diagnosed multiple times with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder).

In 2006, when her nan returned from a trip, she told Sam to try for the job of cruise ship entertainment host. Sam took her suggestion and he got the job as well. During his training he learnt different things like crowd control management, types of fire and way to extinguish them, survival techniques at sea, etc. There were so many challenges and learning experience that came to Sam’s way during his job.

The book is written in a first person. Reading this book was an amazing experience and it made me laugh at some incidents. Language of the book is simple and easy to understand. I really appreciate storytelling skills of Sam.
This book took me down the memory lane and reminded me of my trip when I went on a cruise once. It was a short and smooth read and I enjoyed reading this book. I definitely recommend it to my fellow readers especially to those who love reading memoirs.

Dalton Highway is a story set in Alaska about a forty five years old truck driver Tom Richards. Tom is going to take the longest journey of his trucking career to deliver tool boxes to an oil field located 414 miles farther on a Dalton Highway. Tom and his wife Margaret were in need of money so Tom took up this scary task to deliver boxes 414 miles farther. He took five years old German Shepherd Presley with him for the company.

As Tom was on his journey, he noticed that something isn’t right. He found an open car with a person’s mobile and wallet in it. There was no sign of any person or animal on the road. With bills to pay, Tom got tempted and he pulled out $100 from the stranger’s purse. When Tom reached the Arctic Circle sign at mile 115, he noticed the bulletin board with Missing persons pictures and messages. Even after seeing this board, Tom didn’t turned back to home and took the journey ahead. Read the story yourself to know what all gonna happen further.

The story is full of horror and gave me chills while reading it. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put this book down. It was an amazing read. Language was easy to understand and I even added few words to my vocabulary. Cover page of the book is nice. This book deserves 5/5 because of the good job done by the author overall.

“Sunshine and Lev: A story of being in the right place at the wrong time” is the third book that I have read written by the author Clare Cinnamon. The protagonist of the story are Ariadne Franklin and Lev Porter. Ariadne has graduated with an art history degree and now is an artist. One day Ariadne’s roof was leaking. She called Jess to get the roof fixed.

Lev came for a Church service to Milton, South Carolina and he got a call from Jess to look to the leaking roof of Ariadne since he is already near her place. Lev showed up to fix the leak of Ariadne’s roof. Lev falls in love with Ariadne at first sight. Ariadne also found him attractive. But she was in an eight plus years old relationship with a guy Connor Olson and she had a pregnancy kit with her when Lev met her. Read the story to know how far this first meeting will go.

This is a unique and interesting plot that mainly started from the roof leaking. The story is written well and author’s writing style is amazing. Ariadne’s pregnancy journey was also interesting to read about. Overall it was a light read and I enjoyed the story. Story has a beautiful ending and I liked that.

I came across a book ‘Love Loss Life Laughter and more short stories’ written by author Ritu Kakar which I decided to pick up and read. Without a doubt the cover and the title of the book is eye catching!

It’s a collection of ten very good thoughtful and amazing short stories which covers various emotions like kindness, love, laughter, loss, life, care, independence, friendship, pain and much more.

All the stories are quite relatable and keep you engaged throughout. Thumbs-up to the author to penned it down so beautifully. All the stories are very easy to read and understand as the language used is simple. The stories are filled with lots of emotions and feelings. Many heart touching stories will make your day indeed. So many inspiring messages one can get from this book, definitely an interesting and engaging read.

I am looking forward to much more short stories from her.

Communication: The Key To Unlock All Doors is an interesting chapter to read, loved the stories shared by the author and the message we get is sharing the ideas and thoughts with others is very important and at the same time keep on learning from others.

In chapter ‘The Unknown Inner Strength’ I loved the statements to tick one by one in order to determine my hidden talent. This has inspired me a lot. It’s absolutely worth to read such wonderful examples or stories that help you to understand the importance of every chapter in a better way.

I came across a book ‘Bhoot Bhavish Bartaman’ written by author Mehool Parekh which I decided to pick up and read. Without a doubt the cover and the title of the book is eye catching!

A brilliant murder mystery which going to win your hearts for sure, I am always a huge fan of suspense and full of mystery books and this book has it all.

The story covers the murder mystery of Rupali, a housewife who is brutally murdered in her bed. The sudden murder raised quite a lot of questions as it was not normal at all in any way. As a result the experienced Major Bartaman Bhowmick, Southern command of Indian Army and a City crime reporter Robin Chaudhary started to dig in more to solve the mystery.

The story is full of twists and turns, grab a copy to find out yourself who is the actual murderer and what is the truth? Also the question raised is what was the reason behind the brutal murder of Rupali. It’s an interesting and an engaging read as it’s a thriller.

The Veil map given at the beginning of the book gave me better idea of the world building. I really appreciate author’s vivid imagination in creating the world of Fae. This story of good vs evil is so intriguing that you couldn’t put the book down once you start reading it. Written in a simple language with smooth narration, I really enjoyed this story. Pick this book and go to the adventurous world full of angels, dragons, magic, mermaids, etc.
