Infectus by the author Todd C Elliott is a collection of bedtime stories of horror. Northshore Evil, Good Bones and The Art of Self Demise are my favorite from the collection.

In Northshore Evil, like twenty five years old Foster I also have a fear of flying. Whenever, I fly I just wish for plane to land safely at the destination without crashing in the middle. Foster had to take few drinks so he can be ready to fly. His colleague Bonnie Willson is not afraid of flying as her dad was in the air force. When the plane flew and Foster and Bonnie were watching the Causeway Bridge, an underwater explosion of white light made them blind and others also and their plane crashed. Will they be alive?

The Art of Self Demise by Rika Suzette is a book that was banned in other states and best seller in The New York Times. Read the entire story yourself. Grab a copy of Infectus right away.

I really loved the plot of each stories. They are unique and interesting. Language of the book is lucid with a smooth narration. Since I started reading these stories at night and they have stuck in my mind, I had to sleep with lights on. Cover photo is spooky and title is accurate. I loved this book. While reading, I was having vivid images in my head making me feel like I am witnessing everything from my eyes.

If you love reading spooky stories, you can’t afford to miss to read this book.

Walking a Camino is the opportunity for pilgrims to walk to Spiritual self or God. It is both a physical and spiritual journey. Author has shared about the mistakes one can do on this walk eventually leading the pilgrims to quit. One of the mistake is to carry a loaded backpack and wearing low quality shoes.

Various quotes shared in this book motivated me. Language of the book is easy to follow. Cover photo of the book couldn’t have been better than this. Title is nice. If you are into spiritual books, then this would be a perfect pick by you. Author has shared his rich experience that was worth my time.

I Still Dream of Horses by the author Leanne Heffernan is a fictional story based on actual events. Story is told from the view point of Consuela, a horse. Consuela was an eighteen years old horse when fourteen years old Leanne came to see her so she can buy her. Consuela liked the soft spoken little Leanne who would be her new owner now. Since Leanne liked the horse, so she bought her. Consuela was moved to Macarthur Park paddocks in Canberra soon. Every day Leanne came to see her.

She always feed Consuela with her favourite treat. As time passes by, both Consuela and Leanne formed a beautiful bond. The way author has expressed this story from the view point of horse helped me to better understand the horses. I haven’t even imagined that horses need that much care and like humans they get happy to get new presents, go on hunger strike to oppose something, love to be treated as special, etc.

Leanne letter at the end to the readers made me emotional. Before reading this book, I wasn’t much aware about the horses, love and care they need, how they can be our good friend, their experience about different weather, etc. This book is something one would definitely love. Reading this was a totally new experience to me. For the first time, I had read a story from the eyes of horse and I could feel very connected. Must read book.

Spades Is Life by the author Faith Darren M Ed is the guide to mastering Spades and life. Spades is a challenging game and there are few people only who are masters at playing it. In this book, author has shared helpful tips using which we can master the game of spades. The first most important thing in the game of spades is to choose your partner wisely. Author has compared the game of spades with life. Like in the game, we have to choose our partner wisely. Similarly, we should carefully choose our life partner so our journey can be smooth.

Author has very well explained the Deck and the Spades suit is the most powerful among the four suits so it’s the title of the game. But the deck of life has more than 4 suits. To master the bid, author has shared few points. She has also explained the ways through which one can cheat. I was also glad to know about the phrase ‘Taking across the table’.

Glossary given at the end of the book is much helpful. Quiz section is something I enjoyed a lot. It is a short read and one could finish this book in a single sitting. This book is not meant to be just read. It is meant to be enjoyed. Read it with a deck of cards in your hand and you will enjoy it more. Language of the book is simple and cover photo is nice. Pick this book and try to master spades.

Paradise Door is a novel by Brent Shibla. Protagonist of the story is Memphis Clarke. He doesn’t exactly remember dying but he found himself in a dentist’s waiting room. Receptionist asked him to sign the form that lists what he has done and hasn’t done in his life. At the hotel, he got to stay in the luxurious loft. In his room, on the bookshelf, he found various antiques that he has collected from his family members over years.

Memphis stepped out of the hotel to explore the city. He went to a bar that resembles the bar in Bishop Park. At the bar, there was a mixed crowd and people were interacting with each other. It’s the kind of crowd that Memphis love. After being back in the hotel room, he missed his wife Savannah. While exploring the hotel, he entered into the tulip garden that reminded him of his trip to Amsterdam. In the garden, he found an unusual door.

As he entered the door, he saw an old TV there showing different events of his life like his parents fight when he was a child, when he was in high school, when he was sitting in a suit in front of a judge, etc. Memphis further started remembering parts of his life. Grab a copy of this book and read the story yourself to know what happens next.

Storyline is so unique and interesting. Title of the story is suitable. Cover photo could have been more creative. Language of the book is easy to understand. This book gave a different reading experience to me. World building is amazing and quite impressive. Narration was so smooth that I was picturizing all the scenes in my head while reading.

Chance by the author Carolyn M Bowen is a psychological thriller. It is the second book in the Sydney Jones Series. Protagonist of the story is Sydney Jones. Walker is the head of security at her office and personal bodyguard. He is also Sydney’s boyfriend. Before becoming Sydney’s bodyguard, Walker was the bodyguard of the singer-songwriter Roxanne. Roxanne had developed a drug habit and Walker had left the security job there. But now, Roxanne is constantly troubling Walker to be her bodyguard but Walker was ignoring her calls. When Roxanne didn’t stop, Walker decided to meet her and tell her personally that he didn’t want to take the job.

Unfortunately, when Walker reached Roxanne’s condo, she was already dead. Walker’s fingerprint was found at the crime scene and now he is in trouble. He is accused of murder but Sydney knew that Walker is innocent and she wants to prove him innocent to the law. But Walker disappeared. He signed a confidentiality agreement with the Government stating to never contact her again. The government has declared Roxanne’s murder as a suicide. Will Sydney be able to know the truth?

Story is intense and I didn’t felt like putting it down without finishing it. Sydney Jones is a strong female protagonist. This book has crime, thrill, mystery. I enjoyed this novel from the first page till the last full stop. Carolyn has nicely penned down this story. Language of the book is simple and narration was easy to follow.

Even though this book is a part of series but one can read it as a standalone also. Looking forward to read the third book in the series.

Vanity: Murder in the name of sin by the author Rhiannon Garrard is an interesting thriller. Story is set in the little,
picturesque town Mitokoa. A murder happened in the broad daylight in the cafe and the strange thing is that according to the witness murderer hasn’t used any weapon. When detective Katelyn Rush arrived in the town, she felt everything so strange. The only hotel in the town itself gave her strange vibes when she got to know that the hotel owner himself is the receptionist and there is no other staff.

As she went out to explore the town better, she started noticing that no living thing (human, birds, animals) is there around the town. Only in front of cafe, she saw 3-4 people and they all were self obsessed and praising themselves. Kate could connect this to the killer vanity. It felt like as if these people outside cafe are in vain after a murder there. It felt like some kind of pandemic. Grab a copy of this book and find out yourself will Kate be able to find out the murderer?

I enjoyed this novel a lot. Author has very well set the plot. Story is unique and interesting. I would love to enjoy this story as a movie also. Language is simple and easy to understand. Cover photo of the book is nicely designed and captured my attention the moment I saw it. Storyline has horror, thrill, detective investigation, mystery, etc. Overall, I like to strongly recommend this novel to my fellow readers.

The hardest thing, one will ever do is walk away still loving you! I completely agree with this saying and this book has completely justified this for sure. The story starts with telling us about the past story of Briann, she has been spending all the summers with her grandmother since she was small and didn’t had a great bonding with her parents since they didn’t give her much attention that she deserved. She had a great bonding with her grandmother and she used to share everything with her. This was her last summer before she goes to college when she met Christin this year during her summer break with her grandmother. It was really amazing witness the love and romance between the two of them, which really gave me many mesmerizing moment here and there.

After the summers when they both returned back to their life’s, a tragedy happened and their long distance relationship fall apart! It will be interesting for all of you to read what happens next  year when they both happen to meet again and their life changes again! Will Briann and Christin be back together! Well you all need to read the book to experience the same.

This story tells us that in most difficult situation we sometimes take such decisions that really makes our life miserable and we always regret them in future until and unless everything happens to be fine again. I would highly recommend all the sweet and romantic story lovers to read this book for sure. I am sure you all would definitely love this one.
