This book is a collection of true crime stories that highlights how dangerous London was in the Victorian era. In Victorian England, headlines about baby farming and murder was very common. Amelia Dyer was referred to as the woman who killed babies for money. Amelia was the most prolific baby-farmer of the nineteenth century.
In 1896, Charles Humphreys, a boatman, noticed a package in the River Thames. On opening the package, he saw the body of a baby girl who had been strangled with white tape. The police investigation started and Detective Constable Anderson was the first to investigate the parcel. He investigated the parcel address and the railway station clerk recognised the parcel. He informed Anderson that it was from Amelia Dyer. It’s the beginning of the end for Amelia. Read this story to know what will happen next.
Written in approx 100 pages, this book could be read in a single sitting. I wasn’t aware of Amelia Dyer before reading this book. Still I couldn’t believe how someone could be so cruel that they don’t even care to kill infants for money. Writing style of Jo is nice. Sentences are longer at some places which made my reading pace slow. Apart from that I enjoyed every bit of this story. Cover photo is nice. Those who love to read true crime stories should go ahead with this without second thoughts.
Kamren The Great is an interesting story written by Tenesha Ali Anderson. Story features a little boy named Kamren. His classmate, Crude, was rude to him. This made Kamren upset. He wondered about what Crude said. Read this story to know how Kamren’s mom cheered him up.
Language used in the book is lucid. Cover photo is nice. The storytelling skills of the author are amazing. Illustrations are beautiful and will attract kid’s attention on the first look. The messages given in this book are beautiful. I highly recommend this book for little readers. A great book for bedtime reading as well.
Sue’s Sky is a Children’s Book written by the author Lulu Buck and illustrated by Chrys Zyx.
Story features a little girl Sue who on her way to school noticed that the blue sky is very beautiful. When Sue asked her friends “Isn’t the blue sky beautiful today?” Each of her friends sees the sky differently based on where they have come from. Grab a copy of this book and read it to know what lesson is there in it.
Story is wonderful and teaches a beautiful lesson to kids. Cover photo of the book is nice. Language used in the book is lucid. The colorful pages of the book have made it more interesting to read. It is a short and quick read. Parents should add it to their kid’s bookshelf.
The Awakening of La Muse by S R Strickland is an intriguing story. Main character of the story is a teenager Muse. Muse and her mother Mary are slaves at Hallisburg’s plantation. Muse looks after Hallisburg’s daughter Cassandra. Cassandra always behaves nicely with Muse and she even trusted her when her brother put a false blame on her for inviting him to her hut. Cassandra knows that there is no mistake of Muse and her brother Jonathan is a liar.
When Muse was asked to stay in the storage room because of the disease she got, she learnt to read and write secretly. One day, when Muse got to know that Hallisburg’s are moving to Paris, Europe and she has to go with them, she was shocked. But moving from Virginia to Paris opened her mind to new experiences. She had a vision of how life could be. Will Muse escape from her masters to be independent?
This story is well written. Cover photo of the book is nice. The story is gripping and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. Writing style of the author is nice. Plot of the story is unique and I enjoyed it. Characters are written well. I like to strongly recommend this novel to other readers.

Q1. Hello, can you please introduce yourself? Readers would love to know more about you.
Hello. My name is Ray Catania, and I am a teacher of Metaphysics, a Spiritual Coach, and of course an author.
Q2. What were the key challenges you faced while writing ‘The Atheist and the Afterlife – an Autobiography: A True Story of Inspiration, Transformation, and the Pursuit of Enlightenment’ book?
Since it is an autobiography, one of the primary challenges was recalling the events of the past as detailed as possible, to immerse the reader in the story. Allowing them to feel like they were there with me and get the true sense who I was, where I was, and where I was going. Another came about from describing the supernatural events surrounding my spiritual awakening. It can be difficult to elaborate and conceptualize paranormal activity and things not of this earth. For example, to explain a near-death experience, can be somewhat challenging, because we don’t really have all the words in our vocabulary to describe such an event.
Q3. What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?
I don’t know if I have a writing style per say. This is my first book and I just sort of wrote it straight from heart, exactly the way I would say the words to you if we sat down and had a talk.
Q4. What’s your favorite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?
Since my spiritual awakening I have been significantly attracted to nature. I like places with trees, mountains, lakes, or streams. Very quiet, peaceful, and tranquil type places.
Q5. Is there much to do before you dive in and start writing this type of book?
The book had actually begun as a journal of the crazy events that were transpiring all around me. As something unexplainable would happen, I would write about them. For example, if I received a message from the other side, had a vision, or a premonition, I would write it as quickly as possible so as not to forget the details. It was from these journals of experiences that book was born from. You would think that because these events were so far out of the norm that they would be easy to remember but it is actually the opposite. I think it is because of the way the information is transmitted. Through thought and energy, makes it very fragile. As opposed to the written word, spoken word, etc. If you take something in through the usual five human senses it is much easier to remember because we practice it all the time, but the sixth sense isn’t something we focus on typically and so it makes retention more difficult.
Q6. How long did it take you to write ‘The Atheist and the Afterlife – an Autobiography: A True Story of Inspiration, Transformation, and the Pursuit of Enlightenment’?
Well since it is an autobiography, I suppose I could say about 40 years, given my age but actually it took about eighteen months or so to get the material from my mind to digital paper.

Q8. Tell us about the process of coming up with the book cover and the title ‘The Atheist and the Afterlife – an Autobiography: A True Story of Inspiration, Transformation, and the Pursuit of Enlightenment’?
The idea of the title was explaining the immense transformation I underwent spiritually. In the book’s beginning I am a non-believer. An atheist who after a spiritual awakening, transpiring over decades of time and many paranormal events, finally succumbs and concedes to the fact that not only is there an afterlife, but I have the ability to communicate with it.
Q9. When writing a book how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also you?
Well, the idea of the book is to take the reader along with me on the wild ride that is my life. It is written from the first person. So, I try to make the reader feel as though they are having the same experiences with me, as they are happening. Much of the latter portion of the book was written in real time. You get to read parts from my journal. So, as I learn and experience new things, the reader will get to learn and experience new things with me. There is no shortage of material. In fact, since the publishing of that first book, I have enough material for the second which is almost completed. I already have a good idea about the third one too.
Q10. Are there any secrets from the book (that aren’t in the blurb), you can share with your readers?
Oh yes! There are many. The book is divided into three parts. The first part of the book is “My Life.” It is filled with trauma and tragedy. Including my own death, which I came back to write about. The second part of the book is called “Our Lives” because this is when I meet and fall in love with Jessica. She was the catalyst, in me exploring the things that were happening to me after the NDE. During this second part of the book, we get to meet and interact with her dad. He has been dead for over 20 years. In the third and final part of the book entitled “The Afterlife” I explain my theory of where we go when we die. I am not talking about any imaginary conceptual realities, I mean I will tell you where the energy that makes up the human conscious mind will actually, physically, go when the body dies.
Hell Fighters written by the author Bil Richardson is a Young Adult Horror fiction. Main character of the story is Dr Max Heller. He took the decision to move to Arkham and was quite excited to start a new life there. He got a job at the Miskatonic University. Max’s interaction with janitor Dud Jewel was more. When Heller asked Dud about something interesting to do in his break, Dud told him about the haunted woods outside of town. Max lost Dud due to an evil creature in that dark place.
Next time, Max visited the place with Alex Forman, a pilot. But dark in the woods, he lost Alex too. Max is determined to get justice and reveal what is there in the woods. With the help of Hell Fighters, will he be able to stop the evil?
This is a dark tale. It kept me on the edge while I was reading it. Cover photo of the book is well designed. I appreciate the writing style of Bil. I am glad to get my hands on this book. I am highly impressed by Bil’s work and I like to recommend this book to horror fiction lovers. You can’t miss to read this remarkable story.

Main character of the story is Michael, a Professor at Princeton University who specializes in Middle Eastern anthropology. The Sacred Monastery of Saint Catherine is in Mount Sinai. After the departure of visitors, Father Moussa was making his nightly rounds. Father Moussa saw an executioner who asked him about the will of Allah. An unfortunate event happened and Michael was asked to lead the investigation.
Michael asked his secretary to call Tel Aviv and inform him that he will be in Paris and Zurich. Will Michael be successful in fulfilling what is expected from him?
This is an intriguing story. Those who love reading historical fiction would enjoy reading it. Language used in the book is heavy which makes the reading pace a little slow initially but once you start understanding the story, it will pick pace. Cover photo of the book is well designed. Historical fiction lovers should definitely get their hands on this one.

My name is Kathy Riggs Duffy. My husband, of thirty-one years, and I live in Milton, Georgia. We live on a farm with horses, goats, dogs, cats, chickens and bees. We raised two wonderful daughters who are now grown and loving life.
Q2. What is your inspiration behind your book “Ryder and Piper the Puppy”?
Children are my greatest inspiration. I believe children who love to read are more successful in school. Better grades and scores in school are less stress on the growing stressors of todays society. Books are also fun for kids and much healthier than electronic devices. I want to help kids enjoy reading and if they learn a little something while doing so, that’s good too.
Q3. What are your hobbies apart from writing?
Ah, so many. I love the sport of dressage. We have a garden with fruits, vegetables and flowers I tend. Photography of animals, beekeeper, decorating and dog training are other hobbies I enjoy.
Q4. Are you planning to write your next book soon?
Yes, I’ve started on the second book in the “Tails from Southern Seasons Farm” series. If all goes well, it will be released in fall of 2022.
Q5. For which age group your book “Ryder and Piper the Puppy” suitable for?
It can be read by ages eight through twelve. However, I believe the earlier you begin to read to children the sooner they begin to associate comfort and enjoyment with books.
Q6. What is your favorite quote?
I do not know where it originated and it may seem almost too simple, but it is, “Live, Laugh, Love”.
Q7. What makes your city special?
The horses make our city special. I bet that is one you have never heard before! We have been called an equestrian community. There are many equestrians and farms in the area. I love living so close to a large city, such as Atlanta, and still having a rural feel.
Q8. What suggestion you want to give to parents of little readers regarding a reading habit?
Read to them a lot before they can read on their own. When they do begin to read be patient. Never get frustrated at the time it takes them to sound out words or if they get it wrong. Disciplining them to much for incorrect reading with crush their joy of it.
Q9. What does literary success look like for you?
Children loving my books and wanting more.
Q10. Lastly, who is your inspiration in life and why?
My daughters inspire me to be the best I can be. I want to teach them that a mother, woman, no matter your age can start new things in life. Be who or what you want to be and don’t let anything, or anyone stand in your way. Life is a gift. Open it every day.
The Darkest Gift penned by the author Len Handeland is a vampire romance novel. Story begins with a good looking guy, Fabien Levesque moving to Paris with his servant Jacque. In Paris, Fabien met Stefan, Baron of Vitré. Stefan told Fabien that he will drop him to his room as Paris can be dangerous at night. In the carriage when Stefan and Fabien returned from Fabien’s cousin’s house, they kissed each other. They went to Fabien’s room and got closer. After some intimate time, Stefan went away but they met again and Fabien was changed into a vampire by Stefan.
Fabien stopped liking Stefan after he realized that Stefan is not a good creature. Years later, Laurent’s eyes fell on a white skin vampire Fabien. Laurent fell for this classy vampire immediately. They got close and as the story progresses, we get to meet another character Jack who is gay and unhappy with his wife. Read this story to find out what happens next.
The story is intriguing and is full of different characters. I enjoyed every bit of it. Author’s writing style is amazing. Cover photo is wonderful. I enjoy Vampire stories and romance. If you are a fan of paranormal stories then go ahead with this one without thinking twice.
