Rating: 5/5
“Heart of a Warrior Angel: From Darkness to Light” is the most recent book that I have read penned by the author Lali A Love.
The main character of the story is Lilac Nobolashvili. She had always avoided talking about her childhood memories. But now Lilac’s daughters have grown up so she thought that her daughters would be able to understand her past.
Lilac is a daughter of Mira and Dragan. Dragan’s family was surrounded by dark and negative energy. When Dragan met Mira, he saw it as an opportunity to start a fresh life. Soon, they got married and when Mira was sixteen, Lilac was born. Dragan abandoned her family and returned to them after 2 years. Dragan physically harmed Lilac. It is heartbreaking to read about Dragan’s temper and outbursts.
If you enjoy reading supernatural thrillers then don’t miss to get your hands on this amazing book. Lali’s storytelling skills are amazing. The story is gripping and it teaches readers about self-love, self-discovery, self-healing, etc. Cover photo of the book is well designed. I loved every bit of this book. Recently I read the book “Musa and Pharaoh: Part One” written by Amal Banafa and illustrated by Fatma Omar. Story features a Pharaoh who ruled Egypt and used to treat Israelites like slaves. Day and night Israelites prayed to Allah and Allah heard their prayer. A baby boy named Musa was born in an Israelites home. He was chosen by Allah. This is a beautifully written story that will teach kids to have belief in Allah. Allah knows the best. With his guidance, we always achieve the best. The story-telling skills of the author is fantastic. Illustrations are pretty and make the book more enjoyable.

Trip to America penned by Author-poet Liana Margiva is something you shouldn’t miss to read.
My favorite poem from the collection is: Tell Me You Love Me
Say you love me and never extinguish the fire That kindled my heart’s firestorm of desire. Look in my eyes, they are burning much hotter than flames With my passion for you, when in awe I pronounce your name.
Some other favorite poems of mine from the collection are: Love, Lonely Heart, Solitude, Don’t Call Don’t Seek, etc.
This book also contains stories based on true stories. Anita travelled from Moscow and landed at New York airport. She spent her first night in America. At the airport, she noticed the African American people. She was invited to America by her relatives.

Sounds Like Love is a light-hearted fiction penned by the author Laura Ford. Main character of the story is Wendy. Her grandmother has recently passed away so Wendy visited her house to collect a box of keepsakes which had been left for her. At her grandma’s house, Wendy noticed that along with the keepsakes, a cat was also there.
Wendy is not a cat person. She was furious. Grandma was like a second mother to Wendy. Her parents were busy taking their pedigree cats to compete in cat shows all over the country. Wendy even called her father so she can convince her parents to take the cat permanently but her parents refused saying they already have Martha and Kiki, their show cats. Also, her mother is unwell. Wendy then took the cat to the Loving Hearts Animal Sanctuary but they were full and couldn’t keep the cat. Wendy finally took the cat home with her. Read this story to find out what adventure awaits Wendy.
I enjoyed reading the story. Wendy’s character is interesting. Writing style of the author is impressive and the narration is smooth. This story kept me hooked till the last page. Pace of the story is fast and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading this novel. If you are looking for a book for light reading then this would be the perfect pick.
British Marine Engineer penned by the author Liana Margiva is a collection of poems and stories.
Sleepless Nights is my favorite from the collection. It’s an emotional heart-touching story about a lover who is missing her lover and is having sleepless nights without him. The lover is asking for a favor from insomnia to visit her loved one and tell him how miserable she is without him. I could relate to this story as I myself had sleepless nights earlier in my life.
The British Engineer is about Douglas and Lorena. Douglas was a marine engineer who worked under contract near the Atlantic Ocean. When Douglas addressed Lorena as his best friend ever, his words touched her deeply. This is a wonderful read.
I enjoyed reading Liana’s work. I appreciate the storytelling skills of the author. Those who love reading stories and poetry should check Liana’s work. Written in approx 100 pages, one could read this book in two sittings. I loved the cover photo of the book and the title is also suitable.

Recently I got my hands on Pages penned by the author Kathy Weyer. It is the third book in the Heritage Art Park Series.
Iris Anderson was a ninety-plus-year-old lady. Jade Robinson was her driver. Iris hired Jade so she doesn’t have to drive and depend on others. After Iris’ death, Jade got to know that Iris had left the residence at 17495 Mansford Way in its entirety and all of its contents to Jade. The only caveat is that she provides full support and aid to Iris’ friend Helen Sullivan for the length of her life.
Jade provided safe space to Lupe, Ellen and other abused women who were looking for a place. Also, she opened a store Pages at the Heritage Art Park.
This is a fantastic story. Once you start reading it, you won’t be able to put it down. I enjoyed every bit of this story. Kathy has done a wonderful job in this book. Cover photo of the book is lovely. Overall, this is a story worth reading. Don’t miss to get your hands on it.
My name is Teressa Hill! I am originally from Portland Oregon where I grew up as a competitive figure skater. I have always been a writer. As a young girl, I would write poetry and short stories. I enjoyed my English classes in grade school and English and Creative Writing in College where I studied theater as well.
Q2. From where did you get the idea for your book “Boo Who?”?
I was trying to figure out a plot that my characters could face that teaches children how to face their fears. I’m a strong believer in getting out of the problem and into the solution. Walking through the fear sometimes is the best way to go because then you turn around and look back and you’ve done it, which builds self-esteem.
Q3. Can you tell us one thing people may not know about you?
I am currently working in Los Angeles as a professional film and television hair stylist, which is another art form that I enjoy. I am honored to be nominated this season for my work in the film industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the greats in our business.
Q4. How much research did you do? before you began your book?
Before I begin any project, I always do massive research. For this particular book, I researched trolls, fairies, Halloween, scarecrows, snails, witches and ghosts. I focused on Halloween and all the characters that come with it.
Q5. Which age group is your book “Boo Who?” suitable for?
For reading, I think it is great for ages six years and older. I believe it can be a book very entertaining for children under than the age of six due to the story line, characters, and the poetic meter.
Q6. What makes you passionate about being a writer?
Knowing that I can change a child’s perspective at a young age and encourage them to better themselves and to be kind and accepting of others. We are all flawed, yet our flaws make us unique unto ourselves and bring something special to the world.
Q7. What is the process of writing a book: how does it go from an idea to finished work on sale in bookstores?
For me, the first step was creating my core characters that I knew were going to embark on adventures where they would meet interesting characters along the way who set obstacles in their path. The challenges my characters faced and overcame would help children understand how to maneuver situations that may occur in their life as they grow older. I am a big fan of positive influences in children’s lives, as well as a big advocate for animals.
Q8. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself as a successful children’s book author with a successful children’s animation series, Gracie and Sniggles.
Q9. What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Publishing my books! The ability to give back has been a highlight as well as all the royalties of “The Mystery of the Blue Goo” are donated to Saint Jude’s and the royalties from “Boo Who?” go to the ASPCA.
Q10. What do you hope kids learn from your books?
The benefit of kindness towards others, compassion towards those that are different from themselves, and the importance of friendship. Being different makes life more interesting and makes the world go round.
“The Reluctant Queen: The Story of Esther” is the first book that I have read by the author Lin Wilder. It is a historical fiction novel.
King Xerxes and the orphaned Hebrew girl Esther were born with a shared destiny. Esther’s father was a rabbi. Esther lost her mother when her mother was about to deliver a baby boy. After her mother’s death, Esther was with her father’s brother Mordecai. His father went on a dangerous route to teach at the synagogue. Later, his body was found. At a young age, Esther was orphaned.
When Esther grew up, Queen Vashti was banished from the kingdom. King Xerxes’ advisors advised him to look for a beautiful queen. Mordecai was certain that since Esther is a beautiful woman, she would be taken by the king’s soldiers. Esther was taken to the palace by a soldier. She was ultimately chosen by the Persian King of kings. Read this story to know what will happen next.
I appreciate the vast knowledge of the author. Story plot is wonderful. Narration is smooth and I enjoyed reading this story. Lin’s writing style is impressive. She has done wonderful work in this historical fiction. This book is highly recommended to other readers.
