The Greatest Reindeer written by the author Greg S. Paris is an intriguing read. This story is told by Rhangyl who grew up in a village called Northtown. The story begins from a small, snowy village called Apricity. The Forest of Onitram helped in protecting Apricity. It was believed that the people of Forest had mystical powers and they would imprison any trespasser into their lands to protect its natural beauty.

Kris was the second born son in his royal family. After his parents’ death, when his brother Paul rose to the throne, Kris left his hometown. After years of travel when loneliness took a toll on him, Kris decided to return to Apricity. He met a white reindeer Cedric who showed the way towards civilization to Kris. With Kris’ prayer, the village saw sunlight again. Soon, things started getting better in the village. When the village ran out of the woods, they needed to get it from The Forest of Onitram but nobody dared to do that. Read this story to know how Cedric and Kris would work as partners.

The writing style of the author is nice. The title of the book is suitable and the cover photo is eye-catching. The plot of the story is interesting. This is a perfect book that the readers could pick for the holiday season. I had a great time reading this book. Looking forward to reading more books by Greg in future.

Those who enjoy Science fiction stories can get their hands on Intruders penned by the author A M Thomas. It is the first installment in the Flight of the Kestrel book series. Tabitha Enns is an Alphan. She wanted to go to space even though her mother doesn’t allow her to do so. One day, she was called at the Principal’s office where she was informed about the PACT Fast Response Fleet. She went on board the Kestrel and met alien Shom Reuel, an Altairian. It’s the first time she has seen an alien in real life.

Darrow told his friend Calneh from planet Dedan that the Intruders have tried to steal razor quartz crystals three times. They are trying to find proof of the Intruders’ existence. Trainee Enns was aware that they were going to Pallas, an asteroid full of razor quartz crystals. There was an accident at the mine and Enns is keeping herself updated.

Read this book to find out what happens next. Will Enns be safe in space? I appreciate the author’s vivid imagination in world building. The characters are written well by the author. I am delighted to read this book. The way the author has included Tabitha’s journal entries in the book made it more enjoyable. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
I am a huge fan of Civil War novels. After reading Pursuing Gold, I was eager to read Reflecting Gold. The backdrop of 1863 Chattanooga is written well by the author. C&R Bank is not just Peter’s responsibility. Mary Beth has inherited half of the bank from her father and the burden of the bank felt heavy to her. With his dad not with him, Peter begged wisdom from God many times.

After the recent burglary attempt and a gunshot at the bank, Peter and Mary Beth need to be extra careful. They are thinking about a reinforced door at the front. Having the bank robbed was the worst nightmare of Peter but being a banker he should be prepared for that possibility.

This book has drama, mystery, romance, war, etc. Mary Beth wanted pregnancy but Peter was focused on the bank. She doesn’t feel the love, compassion and care of Peter as it was before. Read this story to know what will happen. Will Peter be wise enough to keep the bank safe? Will their family extend as Mary Beth wishes?

I am delighted to read this story. The book is well paced. The narration is great. Even if someone doesn’t like historical fiction would love this book as it involves romance and banking angle too. I enjoyed binge reading this book.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
A Darker Demise is a Compilation of Dark Shorts written by the author M. C. Ryder. A Unity of Balance, My Salvation, The Path to Redemption are all well written. However, my favorite from the collection is My Salvation.

It is Marc’s story, a dark short to the Darkest Side of the Moon. Marc was changed into a vampire against his will. Now, he wants revenge. He is waiting for the right moment and playing along till then.

Glenn was playing in the woods with the two girls. Jomar saw a girl marked by Dragon’s Eye. He sounded the alarm and gave a vague description of the girl. The mark is behind her right ear, has long brown hair, wears a red dress, and has a bold attitude. Vladimir is the maker and is in full control. The other vampires need to keep him happy. There is something special about the girl who is meant to take down Vladimir.

I love reading Vampire stories. Vampires are fascinating characters. These stories are dark and would send a chill down your spine. The title of the book is suitable. I enjoyed one story in one sitting. The author should write some romantic paranormal fiction stories like Twilight too.

An Auroral Flame by R. Peter Ubtrent is a fantasy fiction. It is the first installment in the Aurora Chronicles. The main character of the story is Aurora. She is half-elf. Once, there was a fight between Elves and Rakhasa. King Aelfric in order to save the infant asked Unniass to protect her. The infant was later handed to Satyr Stiz who left Aurora at the monastery with two bags of gold.

Aurora was raised at the monastery among other brothers. When she got access to the library, she was amazed to know that she can enhance her knowledge by reading books. Read this book to find out what all half-elf Aurora would discover about herself. The writing style of the author is amazing. 🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“Outpourings: Musings, Woolgathering, & Ghosts, Volume II” written by CK Sobey is an interesting read. This book has Haiku reflections and Japanese-style poetry. In this book, the author invites readers to her inner chapel. She has shared her personal talks with her inner guidance that follows her through life.

“In my garden awaits a snake” is a gripping read. The author took the stroll through her garden to know what needs weeding and what needs nourishing. Suddenly she realized that she is growing older. She hopes to go more deeply into her well of understanding with grace and energy. The narrator feels the pull towards her call strongly today and she believes it’s her time for downloading what was waiting for her.

“Lingering Awhile” is another favorite from the book. Watching a field of grass blowing and mingling in the mind is a beautiful sight. At that moment, the author felt peaceful and still. She noticed her breath is so calm. She enjoyed being here and wishes to stay longer but she has to go.

Those who love poetry, prose, musings, etc should definitely get their hands on this book. This book is an outstanding and engaging read. This is Volume II of musings and one could read it standalone. I am glad to read the author’s words, thoughts and feelings about everyday life. It made me realize that I should spend a few moments of my day in a slow manner without rushing for anything. The calm, peace that would come would be something you would appreciate for sure. It’s a thought provoking read and you would have a great time reading this book.

Interview with author Greg S. Paris

Q1. Hello, can you please introduce yourself? Readers would love to know more about you.

A1. My name is Greg S Paris. First and foremost, I am a husband, father, son, brother and friend. I have been blessed to have an incredible family around me, both growing up and now as an adult. That supportive family environment has also allowed me to grow a network of very dear friends that have become extended family. I love the outdoors and spend time there as often as possible, whether it’s golf, biking, beaches, or mountains – I am typically happiest when I am outdoors.

Writing is new for me and it took me until a little bit later in life to find the author inside me, but once I did I fell in love with it. The energy I feel when writing is such a positive force, I have a hard time even taking breaks and often hours flying by without realizing it.

Q2. What were the key challenges you faced while writing your book “The Greatest Reindeer”?

A2. This was my first attempt at writing fiction, so there were a lot. Honestly, once I started writing the story, it really seemed to pour out of me, so that wasn’t really the issue. My previous writing experience has been in the financial world, so descriptive language has always been something I tried to minimize. Drawing pictures with words instead of numbers was a big challenge. I would say the biggest challenge for me was finding the courage to give the story to someone else to read. Most of my professional accomplishments have not included my own creative works, so giving this to someone and asking for their opinion was one of the more intimidating things I have ever done.

Q3. What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?

A3. Quite honestly, my reading tastes are typically different from this writing. Personally, Steve Berry, Dan Brown, James Rollins and Clive Cussler are authors I always enjoy. I am a big fan of history as well and I have enjoyed many of David McCullough’s works. For this work specifically, much of my inspiration goes back to reading to my children when they were young. The knowledge that someone could tell a story and have another person transfixed by it, was truly awe inspiring to me. I set out on this writing journey hoping to be able to do just a fraction of the same.

Q4. What’s your favourite spot to visit in your own country? And what makes it so special to you?

Currently, it would be the Savannah/Hilton Head area. Two of my children have gone to school there (one is still there) and my wife and I have both fallen in love with the area. We have had so many wonderful times there and the feeling of knowing we are visiting one of our children whenever we go always leads to happy feelings. It also has many of the attributes we love: nice weather; beaches; history and golf. The warm, welcoming and friendly environment is the icing on the cake.

Q5. What inspired you to write the book ‘The Greatest Reindeer’?

Again, this goes back to reading to my children when they were young. Like most children, they loved the story of Rudolph and I would tease them that Rudolph wasn’t even the best reindeer, Cedric was. I guess I always had the general outline of who Cedric was and a couple of years ago, during the pandemic, I had surgery for knee replacement. It felt like the world was in a place that needed an uplifting story and I decided that the time had come to write The Greatest Reindeer.

Q6. How long did it take you to write your book ‘The Greatest Reindeer’?

A6. The first draft didn’t take long at all, maybe a week. The re-writes and edits took a bit longer, maybe three months in all to complete.

Q7. On what platforms can readers buy your books?

A7. The book is currently available on most major online outlets including: Amazon and Barnes and Noble. It is also available in eBook copies in .mobi for Kindle, .epub for Nook, and PDF form for download. The book is also available in audiobook form at Google Play.

Q8. Tell us about the process of coming up with the book cover and the title ‘The Greatest Reindeer’?

A8. The title has always been in my head and the story really came after the title, so in essence I worked backwards with this story. The cover was a collaboration with my publisher and partner in this work. Karen Fuller, of World Castle Publishing, worked with me to get a general idea of what I wanted for the cover. She then provided me with several options. There were several that were much more “kid friendly”, but I truly feel the cover that we chose captures the essence of the story well.

Q9. When writing a book how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?

A9. When I am writing a story, I often try to give a unique perspective, and that uniqueness is not typically my initial perspective. I definitely need to adjust my mindset to see how I “normally” see things and then adjust to a different paradigm. Perhaps, seeing things from a “typical” mindset originally makes it a bit easier at times to then ask, “What would be the opposite for me” and then write it from that perspective.

Q10. What is the most valuable piece of advice you’ve been given about writing?

A10. Make time to write and just keep putting words on the paper. I am definitely writing by the seat of your pants style author. For me, getting the story out the first time, so far has not been the issue. Re-writing and editing has been much harder. My advice is this, writing the words “The End” is incredibly rewarding but I have come to understand that it is usually only the beginning.
