Eternal Tides written by the author Marc Bright is an adventurous story that is full of twists and turns. Kate Lawrence is a Youtuber who is traveling from her home in Santa Barbara to Somerset Village, Bermuda. She has a keen eye for history and she was invited to showcase the recovery of the lost treasure of the infamous pirate, Blackbeard.

Ethan Forde is the main character of the story. Once he found the diary of Robert Maynard that had the account of his pursuit of the infamous pirate. He found out that the Fountain of Youth might be hidden in Venezuela. Marcus “Mac” McAlister is Ethan’s trusted friend. When Dax Santosa found out that his boat was missing, he captured the boat on which Ethan and Kate were. With the timely help from Mac, Kate and Ethan were rescued from danger.

Kate feels Ethan always finds trouble. Ethan and Mac abandoned Kate in Bermuda as they felt she would post the secrets on YouTube but Kate was also determined to uncover the secrets about the Blackbeard’s long-lost treasure. She is excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity to find the treasure. Read this story to know what adventures Kate, Ethan and Mac have on their journey.

The writing style of the author is nice. The title of the book is suitable. The pace of the story is fine. Since there is so much history and adventure in this book, I loved every bit of it. The language used in the book is for avid readers. The storyline is intriguing and I am delighted to read this book.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“Daylight Saving Time: The Power of Growing Older” written by the author David W. Berner is the best book that I have read at the beginning of this year. This is a kinda instruction book on the art of growing older.

In this memoir, the author has mentioned time as a man-made concept. The way the clocks are adjusted for Daylight Savings Time made him think about that. He wonders about his aunt who has outlived his parents and sister. His aunt always giggles and even at the age of eighty two, she has the heart of a young woman. It is inspiring to see David with so many plans like meeting his step son, elder son, etc.

The bond between the author and his wife would inspire the couples to cherish each other even in the old days. The author walks down the memory lane at a few points in this book and he knows that he has less number of days in the future as compared to the number of days he has lived.

For young readers, this book is a reminder to live our life in the present. It reminds us to enjoy each day. For old people, this book inspires them to find joy in the time that is left. This book has touched my heart. I truly loved the author’s writing style.

“The Curious Cousins and the African Elephant Expedition” written by the author Debra Ford will make the readers dive into a magical safari. This book takes the readers to explore South Africa with a few cousins. Emilia Rose, Isla Mae and Audrey Jane are cousins who go to different places in their dreams.

They want to explore and experience the world together. They met a Fever Tree who is friendly. It provides lots of food for the animals and gets to know them well. They saw the weaver nest too while exploring. Read this book to know more about the adventures of the cousins.

This book is for readers of the age group 2-12 years. It is a fun-filled educational read. The Zulu glossary is helpful. I loved the facts about the African heroes. This book would take readers on the rollercoaster adventurous ride. Parents should definitely add this book to their children’s bookshelf.

The Phantom Enforcer penned by J.W. Jarvis is the second installment in the First Responder book series. The main characters in this story are Noah and Danielle. Noah is a phantom with unique magical abilities. Dani is a police officer whose thoughts Noah can hear and she can see the phantom Noah. Noah and Dani had been making the trips into the book.

As the story progresses, Noah and Dani realize that their past trips have unforeseen historical consequences. Once Dani was having a bloody finger and they weren’t able to get into the book. They visited Barton’s Books and received help from Mrs Heks. They only got an hour but realized that the book is at Noah’s home. Read this story to know more about the further actions of Noah and Dani.

Calling fans of Children’s fantasy stories to get their hands on this book. The pace of the story is fine and I wasn’t bored anytime while reading this book. The characters are written well by the author. The title of the story is suitable. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.

“Alienated: When Parents Won’t Parent” written by the author Lisa Goodpaster is an intriguing read. This book makes the readers aware about the impact of parental alienation on a child’s life. Lisa’s story tells us how her stepmother psychologically abused her by telling her lies about her mother. She made Lisa feel as if she was the problem but in reality the problem was the stepmother.

Lisa’s life changed a lot since the time her stepmother entered her life. During her divorce, she was well aware of how she should care for her children and what not to do.

“Don’t ever let anyone intimidate you. When they get into your head, they control you,”

The above one is a very important lesson from the book that I learned the hard way in my life. Through this book, the author wants to mention how important positive co-parenting is. The author has suggested anyone to take help if they need it and that too without feeling ashamed.

I appreciate the author for sharing her story with us. It gives us hope. If you are looking for a book on parent alienation then go ahead with this book. I am glad to know Lisa’s story. This book opened my mind and eyes as well. I strongly recommend this book to my fellow readers. The cover photo of the book is very thoughtful.

Those who are fans of sci-fi/fantasy books should get their hands on Steven Radich’s book “Letters from Another Galaxy”. The main character of the story is Bill, an inmate who was serving his time in prison. One day, Bill and other inmates were taken from the prison on Earth to the planet Xerox.

Human trafficking became the fastest-growing sector of the Home Galaxy economy. There, women were kept as pets or in private zoos. Read the story to find out what will happen when Bill meets an influential Bruin family.

On the other hand, three extraterrestrials invaded Earth at the same time in China, New York and Australia. What would residents of Earth do in such a situation?

The author has handled multiple subplots well. I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author in world building. The storyline is intriguing and the author has done fantastic work in this book. The writing is descriptive and I was able to follow the story easily. This book has mature content so I like to recommend it to adult readers only.

Those who enjoy reading horror fiction should get their hands on Formosan Vampire penned by the author Amadeus Rockefeller. The story begins from Lyudao Prison, Taiwan and the year is 2022. The main character of the story is Seth Ardelean, a death row inmate and a vampire awaiting his execution. He doesn’t want to live without his wife and daughter. He is a ‘Formosan Vampire’.

Before Seth’s execution, Eunice Wang, a legal representative from Xin Tai-Yang Associates visited Green Island Prison to interview Seth. She was told that he wants to die by execution only and people wonder why. After getting a few details from the vampire, Eunice wanted to leave but due to a power cut, she had to spend more time with the vampire. He forced her to listen to him about the historical epic of his life as the Formosan vampire king. Eunice was surprised to know that Seth has spent four hundred years on Formosa.

Since the book contains violence, vampirism and cannibalism, this book is for mature readers. The author has managed to write the story in different timelines well. When Eunice was listening to Seth’s story, it sent chills down my spine. If I would have been in her place, I would have run from the prison without even looking back ever. The narration is smooth and you won’t feel like putting this book down. Those who enjoy reading stories involving history, horror, etc should definitely get their hands on this book. Seth’s character is interesting and I had a great time reading this book.

The Phantom Firefighter written by the author J.W. Jarvis is the first book in the First Responder book series. The main character of the story is a thirteen-year-old Noah. The pandemic caused a strain on his parents’ relationship. They had a divorce and Noah’s mom moved two states away. His dad has to work all the time so they can afford the basic things in life. Noah doesn’t have any siblings to play or share chores with.

Noah has a nighttime reading ritual with his dad. This time, he is reading The Fearless Firefighter. This book introduces Noah to Zach who aspires to be a firefighter after high school. When Noah fell asleep while reading the book, he was transported across space and time where he met Zach. His father also had a similar dream. Read this book to find out if it was just a dream or was there more to it.

Those who enjoy reading fantasy stories should definitely get their hands on this book. This book is full of action, adventure, suspense, humor, etc. The character of Noah is written well by the author and he won my heart so soon. The writing style of the author is amazing. I like to recommend this book to teenagers and adults.

Scorched written by the author Theresa Gage is the second installment in the Flame series. The main character of the story is Aidan. After his father’s death, his brother Santurin became the king. Aidan loves a girl named Yvonne. He wants to marry her and has a plan to propose to her.

Aidan was plagued by his nightmares since his twin brother Cosmo and he shoved the evil sorcerer inside the dark mirror world. To seek revenge, the sorcerer is free now and he has thrown Aidan into the dark mirror world. Will he be successful in protecting his family?

The plot of the story is gripping. I couldn’t put this book aside once I started reading it. The author has done fantastic work in this book. The cover photo is nice with a suitable title.

Go ahead with this book without any hesitation.

“Sad Eyes: Book One: 1912 to 1939: A Nurse’s love of her country during WW II” written by the author Dan Perkins is an intriguing read. The main character of the story is Mary Ellen Murphy. She was born in 1912 and is from Waterloo, Iowa. When she was 12, she realized that she doesn’t want to spend her entire life in Waterloo.

Being a nurse has always been attractive to Mary. While growing up, she thought about being an Emergency Room nurse as there she would need to make quick decisions in the matter of life or death. When Mary told her parents about going to nursing school in Chicago, they wanted her to be in Iowa so she could be closer to family. Mary spent time volunteering at St. Mary’s hospital so she could decide better about her career.

Read this story to know what Mary will do further in her life. Mary’s character is inspiring. I could relate well to her character as I am also a career driven woman and don’t accept the fact that women should be dominated by men in today’s society. The plot of the story is nice. Although Mary’s character is fictional, she seems real. It’s a must read book.
