🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
Dystopian and science-fiction fans would enjoy reading Brian Penn’s latest novel “The Wall”. The main character of the story is Asher, the last son of The Great Defiance. The year is 2099. There is The Wall located in the middle of the former United States of America. It separates Zion from the Middleland.

Asher’s fiancée Sarai is in Zion and Asher is in Middleland. Both of them are eager to know whether their soulmate is alive. Sarai’s father built The Wall fourteen years ago.

Six months after her engagement, Sarai died in an accident. She was secretly given a second-life protocol. When Asher got a chance to enter Zion, he immediately agreed to it. Asher is all set to enter a territory that could be dangerous for him but he could go to any extent to reunite with his love.

I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author in world building. The character of Asher is well written and my favorite from the story. The book is well paced and there are no dull moments in it. The writing style of the author is nice. The cover photo is eye-catching and I loved the title of the book. Add it to your tbr.

“Nadeem’s Journey: A Heart Wrenching Story of a Loving Mother Losing Her Son to Cancer” written by the author Sherine Anniruth is the bittersweet story of a mother who lost her first child. Nadeem was Sherine’s first son. From the time he was born till his last days, he continued to amaze his mother with his achievements in life.

Even though Nadeem’s journey was tough because of medical issues, nothing stopped him from achieving more and excelling in academics. Sherine’s sisters played an important role in her life in looking after Nadeem many times. The support of family is very important especially in the challenging times. What would happen when Nadeem and his mother would find out about his cancer?

This story took me on the rollercoaster ride full of different emotions. The writing is descriptive and easy to follow. I loved the cover photo of the book and the title is suitable. I really appreciate the strength and courage the author and her son displayed in their journey. This story made me realise how much the support of loved ones matters in life.

“Drawn From Life” penned by the author Sarah P. Blanchard is an intriguing read. The story features Emma Gillen and her cousin Lucy Harnett. Emma and Lucy were together while growing up because of the circumstances. Lucy’s mother Maggie was in rehab, running with her boyfriends, drinking, etc so Emma’s parents allowed Lucy to stay with them for a few hours, days that turned into months.

One night, when Emma and Lucy went to the store for food, an accident happened that claimed the lives of three people. Emma doesn’t have the memories of who was in the driver’s seat. Was it Lucy or her? Emma has been in survivor guilt for years. Read this story to find out if she will find the truth.

The writing style of the author is nice. The story is gripping and I had a great time reading this book. The title of the book is nice. The characters of Emma and Lucy are well-written. I loved Emma’s character and I appreciate her tolerance with Lucy. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.

Those who love reading short stories should get their hands on Jayna Locke’s book “Somewhere in Minnesota.”

‘Last Night in Fargo’ is an interesting story in which the narrator Teri met a man named Samuel while she was in Fargo. Samuel was on business from the Twin Cities. When he met Teri at the restaurant, a bond developed between them and on the last night, Teri noticed him yearning for her. Will Teri return to Carl from her business trip?

Ripples is another interesting story. It is about a little boy named Jeffy whose red ball went into an icy lake. Jeffy went after the ball and his life was in danger. His parents soon realized that their son was missing and they went to the icy lake. Will they be successful in saving Jeffy?

The Lake Home, Neighbors, etc are some of the stories I enjoyed the most from this collection. I read a couple of stories per sitting. The backdrop setting with Minnesota lakes and seasons made me enjoy these short stories even more. I am glad to get my hands on this collection.

The characters are well written. Each story has an interesting plot that will hook you to this book till the last page. Go ahead with this book without any second thoughts.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
In this book, the author has shared about his subjective journey through wine regions to tell the readers what is amazing in these wineries.

The author has included twenty-three maps in this book. I was surprised to know about the one winery that produces about 50% of all wines in México. Michael has shared many pictures that give us a bit of a feel of the place. After reading this book, I am tempted to visit the authentic-style Mexican hacienda.

The winery closest to San Miguel de Allende offers a great place to relax, drink excellent wines and eat gourmet food. One can enjoy picture-perfect views from the outdoor restaurants. The experience of luxury hotels in the vineyards will stay with you forever. A hats off to the author for sharing his vast experiences with us.

Reading about Michael’s experiences inspires me to explore different wines and properties. The cover photo is nice. I am inspired to live my life well. The author has done great work in this book. It would be amazing to continue reading about more experiences by Michael. Those who are fans of wine tastings should explore México for sure.

This is the story of a twelve-year-old Ronnie who was surviving on the streets as a prostitute. Ronnie i.e. Angel lives in New York along with a man named Charlie.

Charlie was blackmailing Ronnie and making him earn money by giving sexual services to the clients. Ronnie loved his mother and to keep her out of a mental institution, he was paying the price by working for Charlie. Charlie gave him shelter, food, clothes but he even beat the shit out of Ronnie if he couldn’t earn any day.

Will Ronnie ever be successful in re-capturing his life? Read this unputdownable memoir to know what happens next. The cover photo of the author is nice and the writing style is amazing. If you love reading stories involving resilience, perseverance, faith, etc then get your hands on this book.

Calling the fans of Science fiction to get their hands on Andrew Masseurs’ book “The Day After.” Michael Stevenson and his family have somehow survived and are now living among the predatory creatures.

Michael Stevenson is glad that his family is back with him. From his family, he came to know that there is no life after death. A year ago, everyone disappeared including the animals. Only a small percentage of people survived. New creatures were created and they are the evil monsters. Michael, Teresa, Shelby and Lucy didn’t expect a monster. When Teresa disappeared, Shelby wasn’t sure if Michael would be able to rescue himself.

She felt her sanity when she at least had the company of Lucy Stevenson. The story picked up pace when Lucy and Shelby met Max, Charlie and Pete. The creatures take us on the roller coaster ride in this novel.

I am impressed with Andrew’s writing. The story is so unique and interesting that you won’t feel like putting this book aside. The world building is impressive and I loved the backdrop settings. Looking forward to reading the next book by the author.

Our emotions play a major role in our business or career. Understanding the emotions of our colleagues and ourselves is crucial for good work relationships. This book will help the readers to develop their Business Emotional Intelligence (BEQ). Through this, readers would learn to manage their emotions so their professional goals are not sabotaged.

The authors have mentioned case studies in this book that would help us to understand BEQ better.

Being a sensitive person, I was a victim of office politics a few years back and went into depression. I wish I would have gotten my hands on this book earlier. If you want to be successful in your career or business then BEQ plays an important role. Don’t let your emotions hinder your business success. The authors have done great work in this book. I appreciate the valuable lessons that they have shared with us. More and more people should read this book as it would be beneficial for them in their professional life.

“Things you know when you read 2000 books” penned by the author Ella Yoon is an interesting read. Those who are book lovers would adore this book for sure.

Ella is the first author I know who has read 2000 books. “Our lives are a journey of constant learning and growth.”. If you enjoy reading but couldn’t find time due to your busy schedule, this book would remind you how good it feels to read. Whenever I read a book, I forget the content after a few days and I used to feel embarrassed for that but Ella is telling people that it’s okay to not remember the contents and that made me peaceful and happy with myself.

Ella has shared with us the right method of reading a book. She has mentioned about freeing our souls while reading a book. We can read a book anytime without fixing a particular time for it. Ella’s passion for reading made me realize that I should read more than my current capacity.

Reading can open a whole new world to us. The writing style of the author is nice. The cover photo is attractive and I loved the title of the book. This is a great book for light reading. You won’t be able to put it down once you start reading it. Go ahead with it without any second thoughts.

“Passages of Peculiarity: A Collection of Dark Tales” penned by the author Mark K. McClain is a gripping read.

Thieves is a story with an intriguing storyline. Elle is called witch, evil, sorceress or other unkind names. Her friends forced her to come along. Alaric and Balik are digging the grave to find a treasure. Elle warned them to leave as she sensed something else was there too with them. They soon heard a cry of the dead calling them thieves. How could a dead one talk and walk? Read this story to know more.

‘Broken Bonds’ and ‘The Perfect Plan’ are my other favorite stories from the collection. The characters are well written and the plots of every story are unique and gripping. I read these stories at night and found them even more spooky.

These stories kept me on the edge of my seat and ran shivers down my spine. After reading this collection, I was craving for more stories. Mark has certainly done a fantastic job and I had a great time reading this book. The title is suitable. I am definitely interested in reading more books by him. If you enjoy reading short stories that involves graves, horror, murder, darkness, etc then get your hands on this book.
