“Chronic: A Healing Journey through Poetry” penned by the author Carissa Taylor is a gripping read. This book is written in three parts: Before, Healing and After.

The poem ’15 Years’ is about learning how to love someone. The author has written this poem for her first love. She values the sacrifice made by the person who taught her how to love.

The below lines are of the poem ‘Reminder’ that reminds us to not lose our hope in difficult times. We should keep faith.

Keep your focus on faith
Keep your focus on the cross
A reminder of the truth
When all hope seems lost

I could relate to many poems from this book. Some of my other favorite poems from the collection are: Move On, Strength, Sweet Dreams, etc. The language used in these poems is easy to follow. I could feel the author’s emotions in her words. Those who enjoy poetry should get their hands on this book.

Bran is accepted into Esfinge Bard Campus, where his father urges him to spend four years earning his journeyman’s markings. Although Bran is reluctant to leave home, his father assures him that becoming a Bard will allow him to explore the entire continent or go wherever he wishes. He also reminds Bran to stay strong and never forget his blacksmith roots. As Bran embarks on his journey into manhood, he faces numerous dangers, all while remembering his mother’s advice to one day return the gemstone to its rightful owner.

The author’s writing is engaging, with a vivid imagination evident in the world-building. The book’s pacing keeps the reader engaged, and the suspenseful storyline ensures you’re hooked until the very end. The cover art is striking, and the title is perfectly suited to the story.

“Tales of the Whirling Rainbow: Myths & Mysteries for Our Times” penned by the author Steven McFadden is to clarify the myth and inspire people to seek ways to bring heaven to earth and regain paradise.

The author has told a tale of the legend of the rainbow warriors. Steven has mentioned how because of unrelenting greed, the world has become sick. Some awakened souls would restore the Sacred Hoop and would be the Warriors of the Rainbow. They would become examples of right living and would bring an end to the destruction of the Earth. The rainbow warriors have to be dedicated and strong of heart.

In the chapter “New Period of the Sun”, Don Alejandro reminds people to respect Mother Earth and to stop destroying water, air and mountains. Everyone needs to come forward and bring this change. The rainbow teachings are true and we need to be at our spiritual best.

This book made me grateful to the indigenous people for sharing their ancient teachings. I am grateful to the author for reminding us that now is the time to bring the change. The title of the book is suitable. It is a unique read that inspires those who read it. It is a thought provoking read that is engaging and requires each of us to act to restore the Mother Earth.

‘Way of Freedom’ penned by the author C. B. Rein is an intriguing fantasy story. Zlata Tajra is the main character of the story. Zlata told her doctor that she is experiencing the side effects of her medicine and she always feels dizzy, sleepy and has headaches. Zlata’s father passed away five years ago and she is curious to know the reason for his death.

Visiting a cemetery is a ritual for Zlata as her family is there. When she recently visited there, she was locked in the cemetery. Zlata saw a statue who pulled out a sword. She thought it must be a dream. She started seeking answers to what happened to her father and about her panic attacks.

In another dimension, Zlata met Chavdar, the leader and director of the Itzals. Zlata needed to be trained but her power is not enough to be an Itzal. Zlata also asked many things from Dlaka. Will Zlata survive in the new complex world?

The storyline is gripping. Those who enjoy reading fantasy stories should get their hands on this book. The cover photo is nice. The characters are well developed. I appreciate the vivid imagination of the author in the world building. This book is for avid readers only.

However, Mike is cautioned that immigration policy is a federal matter, and he should tread carefully.

As Mike immerses himself in his new role, Josephine starts to feel increasingly sidelined. Mike, however, is unwavering in his belief that the courts have made poor decisions and are abusing the ‘elastic clause.’

The tension builds as Mike’s bold stance raises questions about the future. The author’s deep understanding of the complexities between state and federal jurisdictions enriches the story, creating a gripping atmosphere. The well-crafted setting, coupled with unexpected twists, ensures that readers remain engaged until the very last page.

“Kyd’s Game” penned by the author Marc Rosenberg is a gripping read. The main character of the story is Neil Kyd. Kyd left his job at the CIA when his daughter Molly was diagnosed with Batten disease. Kyd’s wife, Patty died of breast cancer when Molly was six years old. He now lives on his mother’s farm.

Kyd was visited by his ex-colleague Paul Wexler. Paul told him that Nicoli Petrov wanted to be Russia’s next president. Nicoli has a camcorder video disk as evidence that proves the current president was complicit in attacking Syria
with chemical weapons. Kyd has to go to Russia, take the disk from Nicoli and in return the Agency will take care of treating Molly’s disease with all costs covered. To save his daughter, Kyd agreed for the mission and went to Russia. In Russia, Kyd met his ex-girlfriend Irina, Nicoli’s sister. During a meeting with Nicoli, Nicoli was shot and Kyd realized that he had been set up for his murder.

The plot keeps you on the edge of the seat. The story is gripping and I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. The book is well paced and I enjoyed every bit of this book. I loved the character of Kyd who cares a lot for his daughter. Those who enjoy reading geopolitical spy thrillers should get their hands on this book.

Through manifestation and setting SMART goals, we can make our dreams come true. I agree with the author when she has mentioned to surround ourselves with those who appreciate our distinct qualities.

If you want to unlock your true potential, then get your hands on this book. The author has inspired me to work towards my self-transformation seriously and become the best version of myself. I will definitely implement the tips mentioned in this book. The exercises given in the book will help us in our self-discovery journey. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It’s a well written book with actionable steps.

The author has shared examples of various foster children and how different parenting techniques work with different children.

Parents should give love and support to children so they can thrive. Active parenting plays an important role as it helps children to learn and grow. Parents can help children to learn discipline, good habits, etc. Disruption, distraction and redirection are useful parenting techniques. Even though tantrums of the children aren’t easy to manage, the author stays prepared ahead of time with techniques to mitigate tantrums.

Encouraging children to participate in extracurricular activities and teaching them life skills will help them to grow. Kathleen has shared great insights in this book.

The knowledge shared in this book would help parents in raising their children well. Parents will also get insights from this book on handling kids with behavioral issues. The techniques mentioned in this book are from the experiences of the author thereby assuring the readers that they are working techniques. It is an informative read.

Surviving A Miracle, penned by author Dr. Richard Greenberg, is the true story of his family’s involvement in a flash flood along the Nā Pali Coast of Kauaʻi. Rich’s family is made up of five members, including his wife Carrie, his three children (Zachary age 12, Samantha age 9, and Marla age 3), and himself. 

The Greenberg family, accompanied by a close family friend Steve, were hiking to see Hanakapi‘ai Falls along the north shore of Kauai. To reach the falls, the eight-mile round trip trail traverses a stream several times. The forecast called for clear sunny skies. However, upon reaching the falls, the Greenbergs found that the weather had suddenly begun to change. The wind began to blow fierce sheets of water at them. They quickly turned around and started the hike back. While traversing the first stream crossing on the way back down, Zach slipped on a rock and was swept away by the now-raging water. Rich, who was carrying Marla in a backpack carrier, attempted to grab Zach’s hand and they were also forced to brave the now fierce river. 

With the help of several brave strangers, Rich and Marla were able to get out of the flooded river alive. Miraculously, Zach was able to make it out of the water as well but was now stranded on a tiny ledge 40 feet across the powerful currents. As the storm continued to move downstream, the rain became a torrential downpour. As the river was rising, Zach was in an ever-increasingly treacherous situation. Read the book to find out what happened to Zach. 

This book serves as a testimony to the presence of God and the fact that He listens and answers prayers. The kindness of several strangers who came to the aid of this family in need touched my heart and motivated me to want to serve others more fully. This story is living proof that miracles truly do happen in our lives today. This book has strengthened my faith in God and has given me hope to be able to face the difficult challenges that life presents to us.  

The book was well paced with increasing moments of intensity and suspense. I could not put the book down until I finished reading the entire story. I had to know what happened to Zach. I highly recommend reading this story. This memoir will be especially enjoyable to those seeking to find a story that can increase their faith in overcoming life’s challenges.
