As Christmas is next month, I am glad to get my hands on the book Santa Claus Origins, first part in the series. In Mount Minimota, there is an Orphanage of {Her Lady Mary’s} Garden of Youth. Kris and his younger brother Jone are orphans. They were orphaned at a young age. They always looked after each other while growing up. One day the ice sheet began to break apart and Jone fell through a gap in the ice sheet. Even though Kris tried to save his brother but couldn’t.

Kris changed. He is not so smiley anymore. He even protected other kids from bullies and ended up getting a warning from Lady Mary. After turning seventeen years old, Kris would leave the orphanage to enter the real world where he has to work to bring food to the table. Read the story to know how Kris would be chosen to be the next Santa/Savior. Readers would be amazed to read about Kris’ training to become the next Santa.

Cover photo of the book is eye-catching. The title of the book couldn’t have been better than this. Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I am impressed by the author’s work in this book. Pace of the story is fast and I didn’t feel bored anytime while reading it.

This book is highly recommended for readers of all ages.

“Ruth Ready: While you’re waiting on your Boaz, you better be…” penned by the author Kitty Arceneaux is an interesting read. I like the author’s idea to get a mentor who is strong in her faith. Our mentor helps us in enhancing who we are.

This book introduces Boaz and Ruth to the readers. Also, the readers would get to know what they represent. The man I want, The Man I need poem is amazing. This book will help women who are looking for a prospect. They will gain some clarity about whom they should choose as a life partner and how to be Ruth Ready themselves.

This book is not just for single women but for married women also as being Ruth-Ready is continuous. There are thought provoking questions and exercises included in the book. This book will direct women towards being a Godly wife. They will be inspired to have a healthy relationship after reading this book. I am glad to get my hands on this book. Rating: 5/5

Jon B: Are You Still Down? is a non-fiction book penned by the author Dominique Carson. This book sheds light on the male artist Jon B. At the age of five, Dominique was amazed with Jon B’s voice and musical composition. In the 90’s Jon B gained much popularity. In 2009, Dominique attended first Jon B’s concert in New York.

Dominique was glad to get a chance to interview Jon B. All thanks to her journalism career. It was amazing to read how Jon B didn’t give up on his musical dreams. Jonathan David Buck or Jon B was from a musical family. At the age of 19, Jon signed his first recording and publishing contract.

It is very natural to think that a person is talented and therefore successful but nobody sees the hard work one puts behind it. The way Dominique has introduced Jon B to the readers is highly appreciated. I enjoyed reading this biography of Jon B. Reading about a man of music is an honor for me. I like to highly recommend this book to those who love reading biographies or about Jon B. Well written book.

Rating: 4/5

‘Sad Bitch Poems’ penned by Lily Dihann is the debut book of the author. It is a collection of poems that describe the author’s feelings as she navigates through the different aspects of life.

I loved the below lines from the poem “I Hope You Cry”:
I hope you miss me
I hope you miss me in the way that you miss the June sun in December
I hope you ruminate over me
I hope you ruminate over me the way you ruminate over April showers in July
I hope you need me
I hope you need me in the way that you need the moon to light the dark
I hope you dream of me
I hope you dream of me in the way that you dream of love in February

Some of my favorite poems from the collection are: I Promise To Try, I Hope You Cry, Abstract, etc. Being an overthinker, I related very well to the poem ‘Thoughtful Rambles’.

The line that I loved the most from this book is “There is a certain amount of darkness that is necessary to see the stars”. Please be advised that the poem’s content is sensitive. Language used in the book is simple to understand. The feelings that the author has described are relatable. This is a short read. Because of simple language, those who want to give a try to reading poetry should go ahead with this collection. Poetry fans should pick this one. I loved this collection.

Utah is the debut novel of the author Levi Rogers. This book will introduce readers to the most misunderstood state Utah. Lee, Becca and Analise are a small family that lives in Logan, Utah. There’s a level-two evacuation meaning be packed and ready to go at the moment’s notice. There is a danger of wildfire. Becca is too tired from the marriage and especially motherhood responsibilities that she thought a destruction of the planet is better than marriage or motherhood. They moved towards Salt Lake City and on the way they remembered about the past events from their life: the unexpected pregnancy, death of Becca’s father, etc.

This book gave me much information about the state of Utah. It also made me realise that being a parent is not that easy. Pace of the story is slow at times. Writing style of the author is nice. Cover photo could have been more creative. Language used in the book is lucid and I was easily able to follow the story. It’s a book worth reading. Go ahead with it.
