🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“The Double-Edged Sword” written by the author Christopher Turnbull is a must read. In this book, the author who is an experienced paramedic has shared his experiences in the emergency services. Paramedics have a career of saving strangers. They are expected to make things better for others but what happens when the caregiver needs care? Who is there for the paramedics at that time?

The author has mentioned about the first time he saw a child die. After that event, he wanted a listening ear so he could get it off his chest but he realized that he was alone in his feelings. The author has also shared his experience when he was the first time in charge of pronouncing a child. He mentioned the importance of having a solid support structure in the life of paramedics to back them in times of need.

Christopher has also mentioned about the supervisors who care when the paramedics struggle. I like to recommend this book to everyone, especially the new paramedics. Before reading this book, the thought never came to my mind that the caregivers may also need care. This book has opened my eyes to the challenges the paramedics face. The author has advised the paramedics to check on their co-workers and provide them the support they may need. It is one of the best books that I have read. After reading this book, I am inspired to be more kind and caring. A well written book!

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
Parallel is a collection of Science Fiction Short Stories written by the author K. T. Seto. My favorite from the collection are dystopian stories that are set in the near future.

Cake is set in the greenhouse where a man asks a colleague about how many quads are left. She cares enough to keep track of it. By working together, they have to follow the rules. She asked the man if he wanted to have a cake when she make it.

Another story Safe is about the narrator and Leigh. The narrator asked Leigh to make their relationship formal. Leigh said yes to it. As they were wearing, scent suits, they couldn’t kiss. Even though tomorrow is unsure but the narrator feels that today is safe and beautiful just like Leigh.

The short stories written by Seto are amazing. I appreciate the author’s vivid imagination in writing these stories. The world building is nice. The pace of the stories is fast and I enjoyed every bit of this book.

Short stories lovers should definitely get their hands on this book. You would be delighted to read these sci-fi stories.

The Last Memory written by the author Annette Stephenson is a captivating story. The main character of the story is Tess Charlton. She is working as the News Reporter for the News Day. Recently she covered the victim’s story. A heinous crime involving arson took place in Julian.

A young dedicated reporter, Robbie Carnes lost his life while researching two deaths by arsonists. Some people think he was murdered. Now, Tess is doing the same research. Even though people have warned her not to involve herself in such a dangerous thing, Tess is obsessed and goes to Julian, California to investigate further. What will happen when there are no whereabouts of Tess for a week?

This book reminded us of how dangerous it could be to work as a news reporter. This story kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It’s an unputdownable book. I binge read it. Virtually Lost written by the author Shreyan Laha is a unique story. The main character of the story is Manisha, a professor of Psychology. Manisha suddenly finds herself at a strange place with the name Pathabhrashta. It is a city governed by social media rules. Everyone here has a genuine marker or a wristband. It is necessary for everyone to maintain a profile with a government.

The people in this city are like social media profiles and they are under continuous surveillance by the government. The government even has access to thoughts and dreams of the people.

After reading this book, I understand the title “Virtually Lost”. The story is well written. The language is simple and easy to follow. The cover photo is nice. I loved the whole concept of social media coming to reality. It is a refreshing read. I like to recommend this book to teenagers and adults. They would be delighted to read this book.

🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
“A Tiny Reason to Live” is the latest book that I have read by the author Shreyan Laha. It is the sequel of the book “Not Worth Living For”. The story is set in 4000 AD. A big asteroid is approaching the earth. The technology on earth is not so advanced to handle this situation. As a result of disaster, only 10 people survived.

The story focuses on these 10 people and their mission to go to another planet i.e. Neptune and survive there. It was interesting to know about the challenges they faced on their journey. Will they make it safely to Neptune?

One could read this book as a standalone also. Go ahead with this. The world building is large but you would definitely enjoy it. The title of the story is appropriate according to its content. Those who love reading stories with many characters would be delighted to read this one.

Calling Sci-fi fans to add this book to their tbr.

“The 1st Assassin: A Unit 22 Thriller” written by the author Mainak Dhar is an intriguing read.

Those who love reading thrillers should get their hands on this book for sure. The main character of the story is Major Aaditya Sen. He is the most decorated soldier alive in India. But Aaditya has lost many friends on the battlefield, lives were taken. All this makes him feel as if his life is meaningless now.

When there was news about a possible terror threat, Aaditya leads the investigation. It was interesting to see him meeting and falling in love with agent Amy.

The author has written an exciting plot that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the story. The story is full of action with a twist of romance and that made this story more interesting to me. Looking forward to reading book 2 in the series.

I love reading Children’s books to my nephew. Recently I read the book “Ella Says: It’s Cool to be Different” to him. The story features a young girl Ella who dreads wearing her Orange Polka Dot Raincoat because it is different. One day when there were clouds in the sky, Ella’s family visited an adventure park.

At the park, they saw a tiny orange kitten who was stuck and needed help. Read this beautiful story to know how Ella’s raincoat would be helpful at an adventure park.
